Chris Harris spent his last few months in TNA being grossly out of shape. Goes to WWE looking the same way but covers up his moobs and gut. Fired because they realized their mistake in hiring him. Goes through a depression after becoming an industry joke. Comes back to TNA to team up with the industry joke at the time, Matt Hardy. Humiliated by James Storm and the Impact Zone fans (a rare moment of actually being entertaining). Disappears off the face of the earth after doing a FIP show. Amazing downfall of someone who was pegged as a future TNA world champion. Hey, Braden Walker was undefeated through his entire WWE career. How many other superstars can say that, huh? Kaz was undefeated for his WWE career also.

maybe the way TNA treated Trevor Murdock? but he really wasnt in the same atar level as Chris Harris Technically, they are at the same star level. Both peaked as tag team champions and had the same body type.

WWE didn't treat Chris Harris shabby. Chris Harris did it to himself.

Weirdly, the same "mutually not giving a shit, and becoming fat" thing happened to Samoa Joe as well, but didn't affect his wrestling ability That's because even on auto-pilot, Joe is better than most in TNA. And also the fact that Joe was already fat to begin with(as pointed out by Steiner). Meanwhile Harris started out as an in shape guy, and then gradually devolved into a clumsy piece of jello.

I was just thinking about Chris Harris' run as Braden Walker in the WWE. Although some of it was his fault since he got so out of shape it just made Chris Harris look really, really bad to have him disappear from any TV for a long, long time then to bring him back for less than a month, have him wrestle two virtual nobodies than release him. In fact, it made him look so bad that I think it forced TNA's hand in not being able to sign him. After all with all the guff TNA gets for signing WWE guys, signing a recent WWE reject who was treated that bad would make TNA look bush league. Now, I know TNA does some shitty things behind the scenes like pay guys a low wage and what not, but for anyone at the level of at least Chris Harris they tend to do their best to at least make them look somewhat relevant and give them a push when they're brought in, whether or not the guy even deserves it. But have they ever treated someone as shabby as WWE treated Chris Harris on=camera? You do know he did show up in TNA again. Where he proceeded to suck as bad as in ECW. TNA didn't resign him because of anything that happened in WWE. TNA dropped him because he left them with a bad attitude and when they did give him a second chance he didn't bother to put in any effort. I loved the guy but his downfall is all on him.

It's not like they gave him a second chance right away. As far as I can remember Harris only appeared years later to team up with Matt Hardy in a one-off. However, I might have missed something or forgotten something.

That really wasn't anybody's fault but Harris' again, he didn't leave on the best of terms. Then when WWE did release him he did the Davey Richards I'm retiring, changed my mind bit and did a few small indies in his area and was brought back to TNA less than two years after WWE released him to play a fake Sting and they probably got a good luck at the shape he was in. Yes it was almost three years later before they brought him back full time from when WWE released him but in that time he made 0 effort to improve himself. He did indies riding off the reputation he built up in TNA not to hone his craft. Which is fine for a short term payday but it didn't help his future. Bryan Danielson was released temporarily from WWE with promises to be brought back and still went out and tried his damnedest on the indies while he was a free agent even though he could have sat at home and waited for that call. Harris coasted just waiting for TNA to call and them not doing so is one of the better moves they made.

They did the Highlanders a real dirty when they showed Robbie on air. Dick move. They honestly owed it to them to sign em and push them hard in the tag division but didn't. Wonder if they offered but the Highlanders turned them down though? I hope thats the case because TNA absolutely should have tried after that shit they pulled.
