Would Bryan angle work better without the MITB?

When Orton cashed the Money in The Bank contract sure it was still dickish and heel.But would it be more effective if it had no MITB involved?

Lie if after the match Triple H suddenly pedigree'd Bryan and orton came down,bell rings,1,2,3.Orton is the Champion.Maybe it would leave a few holes in the history.But i think the heel reaction would be bigger.

Nah, the HHHeel turn was more of a swerve when the audience was presented with a legitimate means of Orton becoming champ.

It would be interesting if Orton had a "#1 contenders match" against someone like Ryder, where he easily won. The match would be set up by HHH. At SummerSlam, Trips raises Bryans hand, and tells him his first defense is NOW! Orton comes out, RKO, pin, new champ. Would give heel heat because Trips basically made sure Orton was the champ without winning against any legit contenders.
