The New Steel Cage Design (from ER2013 onwards) Opinions?

I meant to make a thread about this a few weeks back when the Barrett vs Bryan Cage Match on SD, but what does everyone think of the new version that debuted at this years Extreme Rules? I don't remember any threads about it but I could be wrong. Very different from the last one that they were using from at least 2000 (IIRC), much harder for the guys to put their hands/feet through to grip for spots now and is a lot leaner on the top than it was before. The new version definitely has an old school vibe to it for me (In a good way), but I do miss how much more potential spots they could get out of the bigger old one, especially with the bigger support on top for people to jump off. That's pretty much it. Same old same old. I want bars back instead of a fence.

I was mostly focusing on trying to keep from looking directly at that Lesnar / Triple H match lest it rot out my eyeballs.

Not much, really. I also really miss the blue bars, making cages out of "hell in a cell material" never did it for me. Now there's 3 segments per side instead of 2, so that makes it a little more difficult to see what's going on.

Apart from the hilariously oversized door, I feel like it exists to look more HD friendly.

It's like Triple H has spent all these years annoyed about the central structure bar ruining his hard camera flexes during the match and finally got the power to change it.

I want the blue bars back. They at least look like something. Run as fast as you want into a mesh fence, see how bad it really hurts. It takes all your weight and takes the blow. It's not dangerous looking at all.

On one hand, I like the idea of having a set-up where the cameraman can get a perfectly fine view of the match without just showing you a bunch of exterior shots with the fencing getting in the way. Looking at you, Cena / Sheamus from Money in the Bank 2010.

On the other... Those guys could pretty obviously fit through those holes.

It's an improvement, but not much. I always preferred TNA's steel cage.

Not a big change so whatever. New one looks cleaner as in less bars to block views.

I'm not a fan of the awkward door being being about 60% of the panel, as well as one side being made of three panels as opposed to two.
