Anyone else sick of reading this?
I mean on the forum, not on the show itself. But it seems like every criticism that features someone saying they've lost faith in the product or just don't care anymore has to get followed up with at least one "LOL, okay, see you in next week's Raw thread." like we're all just robots with BitchWare 3.0 and not possessing the capability to leave.
I don't know, maybe I just get annoyed seeing it so much because I actually did quit watching for a while (Back when CM Punk turned heel as WWE Champion and they didn't even bother trying to hide the fact that his title reign became 200+ more days of holding it until Dwayne was ready to up his schedule from sporadic appearances to pseudo-part-time) and recently got back into it thanks to everything actually...being entertaining again. Granted, I'm not gonna lie: Coming back after reading what happened to SummerSlam and having the first thing I see was Cena going "Okay, guys, my 8-year-stale act's going on hold for six months while I stop working through an injury" was definitely incentive to stick around. And shockingly enough, the one show the night after SummerSlam was good enough to get me watching Raw and Smackdown regularly again.
But my point still stands. Coming from someone who said "Okay, I'm done with this shit until it gets better" AND ACTUALLY DID IT, it just gets really tiring constantly reading people make that dumb old joke. (Or worse, the idea that they're not joking when they say it.)
So...yeah. Let's see, topic to keep this thread going...anyone else got stories from when they quit watching?

I stop watching but it's never because what's goin on is pissing me off etc.
I just get bored with wrestling sometimes and take a break for some months.

It's kind of snarky but on the other hand, the idea of people going out of their way to state how their complete indignation at WWE has forced them to take such drastic, life-altering measures as not watching wrestling on TV can get a little "Look at me!" as well.
I haven't watched regularly in years, yet never felt the need to make a grand pronouncement of why I stopped. I also go long stretches without posting here without a "Well, I'm Going Away" topic in Off-Topic. I think the posts you're complaining about are more a reaction to posters that take it in an over the top, dramatic fashion than knee-jerk snark.

My interest just completely waned in 2006 to where I went from watching all the shows to just watching RAW, and after the first few RAWs of 2007 I quit cold turkey. I watched the Benoit tribute show and then didn't watch another episode of WWE TV until July 2008.

Since I started watching again in 2011 I've never been pissed off, but there have been times when the product has bored me to the point of wanting to stop watching (which I did do for a few months last year)

I stopped watching after Raw 1,000 - though I had mostly not been watching in the weeks leading up to it - and didn't watch again, outside of Royal Rumble, until the Raw after Mania.

Only thing I'm sick of is when people feel the need to announce they're done watching.
For people planning on doing so in the future, here's something to remember:
Nobody gives a shit.
Not me, not anybody else on the board, and certainly not anybody from WWE who may or may not be lurking.
Take your break from watching, we'll most likely still be here when you get back.

In all the cases I've seen "See you next week!" be said to someone, it's because they make it obvious they're not really leaving. It's cool to hate a single episode of Raw or something, but you can't just say "I'm done with this" every time something happens you don't like.

I'm with the "sometimes I get bored and take a hiatus" crowd. It's never anger, more ennui.
I'd mark right the f*** out though if HHH looked directly into the camera after a D Bry beatdown and said that verbatim though.

If someone gets bored of the product and stops watching that's fine, but this line gets reserved for those people who say 'fack this company' after Raw every week, moan about everything, but then come back the next week to do the exact same thing. I'd say its the perfect answer to all those wrestling fans on YouTube and Facebook who continually bitch and whine about the WWE product (e.g. my favourite isn't getting pushed, this storyline sucks, bring back TV-14) and yet for some insane narcissistic reason continue to watch week after week.

It's a ridiculous response to an already ridiculous statement - 'my viewership is important enough that I have to announce when I deprive WWE of it!'
