At least Triple H can take solace in his run with Michaels in 2009-2010 being the greatest tag title reign of all time. He'll always have that.
But yeah, those polls were ridiculous. All hail the greatest NWA / WCW / World Heavyweight Champion ever, King Booker!

If you heavily featured during the Monday Night wars, you get to win a poll.

I like how even after years of revisionist history (from both WWE and smarks) trying to downplay him, Hogan still completely annihilated everyone else in the poll.

I think the one that pissed me off the most was the tag team poll. I'm not saying DX doesn't have its place in history, because it definitely does, but not as a tag team. The revisionist history that DX was some incredible tag team on par with some of the greatest of all-time is total horseshit. The only memorable and legendary team that came out of DX was the NAO. Trips and Shawn didn't even tag regularly under the DX banner until 2006, and even then it was only part-time. It was made even worse by the fact that the rest of the teams on the poll were in the top tier of the all-time greatest. Like I said in the thread, complete and total bullshit.

Hogan being by far the favorite at least validated the last choice. The rest of 'em were silly.

I marked for Sting and Hogan winning their polls, especially Hogan. I am sure WWE would much rather have had Steve Austin win. I don't understand Booker T winning his poll, though. I was sure that would be Flair.

LMAO at Hogan and Sting sweeping their respective polls.
TNA's proudest moment, certainly

Funny result. Although I'm trying to work out if they were WWE's top 5 of all time.
As I'd easily put in Rock & Foley into that poll ahead of Triple H for starters. Hell ahead of Cena in some respects as I can't think of a memorable Cena reign...ever. I get why Punk is in there with the lengthy reign, but HHH & Cena are questionable.

I'm genuinely surprised that Cena got such a small percentage of the vote. Glad HHH got so little, though.
And with Booker, I guess at least he has memorable moments with the belt in both WCW and WWE, so there's at least some logic to the decision.

I think the WWE universe was actually trolling WWE. TNA guys winning mixed with Booker and DX...

Don't forget how quickly and strongly Cole tried to clarify the poll after Hogan won. He was trying to point out how the poll was just for some of the WWE Champions. I think this is a clear sign that WWE didn't like the result and Vince was instructing Cole to try to cover for the results. Notice Cole didn't quite react that strongly to the other winners in terms of trying to quickly explain them.

I kind of took that as less them trying to smooth over Hogan, and more like someone just suddenly realized that they basically just said both of the guys who were about to have a match aren't in the top five champions and basically are a step down for the title.

The Titantron was obscured by the lighting rig, so I thought Demolition won and refuse to acknowledge anything different.

Cena had a reign that was almost as long as Punk's and has pretty much personified the championship for the past 10 years. How is that questionable?

I think Booker T. saying he's the "five time, five time, five time champion" engrained it into people's minds that he's the greatest of all time.

I've honestly found Booker T to be among the most overrated wrestlers ever.
