If I had to guess, I'd say it's because they're finally doing a fresh new angle that doesn't feel like the same old routine. You've got a new, white-hot babyface, a new top heel, a new heel faction, and the storyline weaves it's way through more than just the main-event.

We'll have to see what happens when they get to certain "ghost town" crowds like Pittsburgh, Corpus Cristy, and certain cities in the South.
Right now, I believe its fallout from Bryan who has been just as popular with casual fans as well as the smarks. Plus, in general most of the PPVs have stepped it up in quality.

Amazing what happens when you give fans an engaging story with clearly defined villains and a hero they can support.

I have a feeling this trend will stop in about two weeks on RAW. Aw, man Corpus Christi again?! That hurts so much... But seriously, I can only hope this trend continues.
