Is anyone else sick and tired of this repetitive formula they use for every MITB winner??
I know the logic behind it and get why they did it...at first. But the fact they do it for EVERY winner is just getting tedious! When they win the title they just look like a loser who cant win normal matches and have only won the title due to a hurt opponent.
As I said I know why they think this is a good idea but since when was this the way to book your next champion? I wouldn't mind if it was every now and again but they just repeat it with everyone. Soon as Sandow won MITB you knew he would go on an endless losing streak until cashing in.
Why do they do this every time??

It's weird. They go out of their way to make it more flukey every time. I liked Edge's deal with feeling over looked and his stole his spot.
Now it's just wacky stuff for the sake of it.

They're way too invested in the cash in out of nowhere. There's more than one story to tell. Like, they could easily have a MITB winner be very public, win every week, constantly at ring side when the champion is out there, making him paranoid. Imagine Wyatt had the briefcase and went full Cape Fear on the champion, harassing him everywhere he went, rather than just herpderpjobeveryweekformonthsderpsurprisecashin

Yeah it seems to be more of the World Heavyweight title MITB winners that go on a losing streak. Bryan, Ziggler and now Sandow all started losing every week the minute they won the briefcase.

I think it's a combination of WWE thinking "He's got the MITB briefcase! Fans will think he's a big deal because of that so it won't matter that much if he loses!" (like they seemed to think with the IC and US title for the past few years) and also wanting the eventual cash-in to come out of nowhere.
It''s happened too often now though. I wish they'd just build the wrestlers up while they've got the briefcase rather than just push them to the side until they can be bothered to get round to pushing them.

I want Sandow to job in hilarious fashion when it comes time to cash in. MITB is kind of hamstrung by no one failing their cash in attempt(Cena notwithstanding), so either they have to have established guys win the case or a guy like Sandow who they're probably not ready to put the title on but are kind of in a corner because they probably want to keep the "guaranteed world title" gimmick going.

There's three things that have begun to irk me.
1) The jobbing you pointed out.
2) That outside of RVD and Cena, no one has had the balls to announce straight up that you're cashing in. Steal a PPV main event and the bonus that comes with it.
3) Why the hell has no one cashed in at Mania? Leave champion and immortalized. The last thing they'll see on PPV will be you holding the title.

Actually, funny thing, when I totaled these up last week the only ones who've had losing records with the briefcase are Bryan, Ziggler, and Sandow, and Bryan's wins and losses were almost even. Ziggler was something like 25-45 and Sandow is 2-12, though.

I was going to start a thread saying the same thing.
It's ridiculous. Sandow is going to win the world heavyweight title... as such it makes sense to actually build him up and not treat him like a clown who loses to freaking Santino of all people. Why Santino? What exact purpose did Sandow losing to a jobber serve?
RVD I can kinda understand since he's been built up for a possible title win too. But jobbing him to Santino?

He was like 0-1 cause him and Batista lost a tag match against Orton and Cena the day after Wrestlemania.

He lost to Bryan or was that before MitB? That Raw with the street fight.

Wasn't that long of a stretch between his cash in and winning it also so there's that.

I think MITB winners losing is what made Morrissey write "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore".

It really makes little sense.
Here is what we are presented with:
Damien Sandow is the MitB holder and we see him constantly job cleanly, week after week.
One day, sooner than later, Damien Sandow will cash in his MitB contract and become World Heavyweight Champion.
So, here's this guy that you've conditioned the viewer to not take seriously with the myriad losses and now you want us to buy him as a World Champion? How does that make any sense? It hurts the performer long term and, moreover, it devalues the belt.
CARELESS booking. CARELESSNESS.

Perhaps I'm wrong because I love the guy, but Sandow really seems like the most jobbed out Money in the Bank winner ever, which is a f***ing travesty with how gold he is on the mic.
