Notice how different the lyrics are compared to the one we all know. When Wakko makes them complete, they've got nothing to fear, and the Goodfeathers are always fired up and indeed they are too much to handle.

That's actually fairly tame, as Japanese-to-English translations go.

I love how the voices still sound very close to the English ones. Here's the French version: And the translation of the lyrics: {Spoiler}Spoiler It's time for Animaniacs! We are crazy to the max! Be cool, be relax! On laughter there's no tax! We're the Animaniacs!
We are Yakko and Wakko And I'm Dot their lil' sister! To lighten up the studios we became agents provocateur Since they did not like it much, they shut down the Warners! We ran away and here we are for your viewing pleasure!
We are the Animaniacs! Dot charms you, Yakko yacks! Wakko is super-voracious And Bill Clinton's plays the sax! We're the Animaniacs!
Pinky and the Brain* want to take over the Universe! The pigeons are zealous, Slappy*'s throwing a tantrum Buttons*'s chasing Mindy Rita sings a few verses! The writers are losing it, we toss their script and it's driving them nuts!
We are the Animaniacs! We all signed our contracts! Our lunacies throw you off Follow us to make some cashx! The Animani, spreading the insanity! (The moon's got some friends!)
AN-I-MA-NI-ACS! FUN TO THE MAX!
*The French names are, respectively, Minus and Cortex, Rififi and Toubeau

That French translation looks almost close to the original one. Cool. Though I am curious, I wonder what the French thought of the episodes with Mr. Director?

He was the director in the episodes Hearts of Twilight and Hello Nice Warners, he's a caricature of a certain entertainer.

They will perform without rehearsal?
Improv artists must be monsters in Japan.

And the Japanese version of Yakko's Nations of the World
Not much of difference other than the accent, pronunciation, and they refer to Germany as Doitsu etc.

He was the director in the episodes Hearts of Twilight and Hello Nice Warners, he's a caricature of a certain entertainer. After looking it up, it appears the guy is a caricature of Jerry Lewis... still doesn't ring a bell and I'm pretty sure I've never seen either of these episodes. Why are American (possibly English?) people convinced the French love Jerry Lewis so much anyway?

Honestly to me the Japanese opening sounds like the English voice actors singing it in Japanese.

Why are American (possibly English?) people convinced the French love Jerry Lewis so much anyway? I guess it has to do with the acclaim he had there back in the day or maybe it's the charity work he does. He did receive the Légion d'honneur from the French Minister of Culture in 2006. Honestly to me the Japanese opening sounds like the English voice actors singing it in Japanese. For trivia, Yakko is voiced by the guy who did Freiza in DBZ and Caesar Clown in One Piece, Wakko is voiced by the one who did Andre in The Rose of Versailles and Orion from Saint Seiya and Dot is voiced by the seiyuu who did Pikachu of Pokemon fame and Chopper from One Piece, and Skippy is voiced by the seiyuu who did Luffy from One Piece and Krillin from Dragonball.
