Last year, the infamous Claire Lynch storyline started with accusations of an affair between former TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles and TNA President Dixie Carter. Tonight on IMPACT, the two of them come face to face once again to settle the events mentioned right after Styles defeated Magnus to earn a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Title at Bound For Glory...
Styles says he has one more major mistake to point out to Carter, and he'll reveal it tonight. How will the President respond?
Styles will challenge Bully Ray for the title on October 20th in San Diego, following the President of Aces & Eights' successful defense over his former Vice President Mr. Anderson, followed by a major beatdown on Anderson that has led to speculation over whether he'll be able to continue to compete in TNA ever again. Are the Aces & Eights stronger than ever now that Bully Ray has seen off Anderson, and will he interject himself into the Styles/Carter meeting?
Two huge matches are featured on tonight's show - first, Manik requested a major match to take his career to the next level, and Hulk Hogan accepted the request, as the X-Division Champion will go one on one with former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy. Will Manik get a major breakthrough victory, or will Hardy prove that Manik still has some way to go?
Also, the TNA Knockouts Championship is on the line, as Mickie James puts her title up against former three time champion ODB. Since May, through any means possible, Hardcore Country has fended off every challenge to her title that has been put in front of her. Will she continue her Cramazing run through the division, or will ODB rise from being the division's referee to reclaiming her spot on top of TNA?
In other action this week, one half of the Tag Team Champions, Gunner, takes on Hernandez, and in trios action, the Main Event Mafia's Sting, Samoa Joe and Magnus do battle with the Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organisation - Christopher Daniels, Kazarian and Bobby Roode.
