It looks pretty awful, alright. Admittedly the "it's only a mask" part made me laugh and did seem kinda in character for Mikey. But yeah, they look like the SMB movie Goombas and the casting is just piss. The old movie wasn't perfect, but it did seem a lot better than this is looking.

Wow, that looks worse than I expected. From that trailer, it basically looks like 'Transformers: Turtle Power'. Megan Fox appears to be the center of the movie. If that's not enough to tell you how awful it'll be, I'm not sure what will. As far as the look of the turtles, I don't care for that either. The ending of the trailer with Michelangelo just left me feeling depressed that this thing is actually happening. As of now, I wouldn't pay a dime to see this thing. What do ya expect since Michael Bay is the producer of this film. |

The 1990 movie is about as perfect as an adaptation can get. It took the best aspects of the original comics and melded them with the most popular aspects of the cartoon, creating a film for all fans. Not trying to argue, I just think for all intents and purposes, that film IS perfect. |

So what are the chances of the movie causing the Nick show to be cancelled? (I mean like how they cancelled Transformers: Animated when Revenge of the Fallen came out so people "wouldn't be confused") Low, hopefully. Not a chance. The Nick series made Turtles more popular than they've been since the first animated show came to a close, and the toys sell like hotcakes. Every time a new wave of figures comes out, my local stores get depleted. At Christmas time, the TMNT section at Toys 'R' Us was a ghost town. People bought that stuff up like crazy. So yeah, I really don't think Nickelodeon is going to let anything screw with what is already a successful formula for them. In other words, Nick <> Cartoon Network. |

Michael Bay would rather hire a hot actress who hates him than get an average looking girl anywhere near his films.

If you watch the first half of the trailer without knowing about what movie is meant to hype, it can actually pass as a Transformers movie.

The only thing that could annoy me more about this film is if they show that Splinter was a rat who learned karate from watching his owner Hamato Yoshi
I subscribe only to the Splinter IS Yoshi version.
