Looks good, but I'm still not expecting much other than an unintended laugher due to the likely miscasting.

Every time I almost get excited about this, I realize who is directing it and who is playing April.

Kill it with fire.
(The movie as a whole, that is.)

I'll stick with the Nickelodeon series thank you very much.
EDIT: OK I admit that looks kind of cool. And they have a Bat-Computer?!!? Why? Oh yeah, cause TDK made money so every fictional hero must now be like Batman. Bet their masks and belts will be all black now?

I'll stick with the Nickelodeon series thank you very much. Pretty much what I'm thinking I'll have to do. I'm the biggest TMNT fan I know. I've probably spent more money on Turtle collectibles in the past three years alone than I've spent on bills. Being such a TMNT fanatic, I want to like this movie, I really do, but when I look at the people involved and see what's happened with franchises like Transformers and G.I. Joe (the first one), I can't be that optimistic. My goodwill towards this film is hinging on the Turtles' character designs. If they look like a faithful updating of the characters (realistic versions of the Nick Turtles would be my preference), then I'm cool. If they're wearing ridiculous outfits and don't keep the basic Turtles head/face structure, then I'm out.

After Transformers I'm never paying to see another Michael Bay movie without good word of mouth.

TBF, Bay isn't directing it, it's just his company producing it. Not to say that hasn't resulted in other mediocre remakes/reboots (Nightmare, Friday, Chainsaw, I am looking at YOU) Just saying it won't be explosion-tastic and only, say, Leonardo and Shredder will be the important characters, with everyone else being A) background or B) racial stereotypes. And humans taking attention from the TITLE characters.

And humans taking attention from the TITLE characters. True, but when the producer is an A-List director like Bay, and the director is a small-potatoes guy with minimal clout, the producer is going to have a LOT of influence on the film. I think the only real saving grace for this film is going to be Nickelodeon keeping a leash on what the filmmakers are allowed to do with their intellectual property. Then again, Nickelodeon let M. Night Shyamalan make The Last Airbender...

Bale's Batman didn't have a setup that big and it makes sense for Donatello. I'd expect them to be more like Transformers than Batman. So they'll probably be peeing on things and perving on April and stuff. The lair does look great but it's hard to get past.. 1) Michael Bay 2) White Shredder 3) Megan Fox 4) Jonathan Liebesman

I like how we're as far as a single picture from the movie and we already have obvious product placement.

Long shot I know, but I really hope the whole "White Shredder" is just a decoy and the real one is the badass ninja warrior we all know and love, who eventually makes his appearance at the end or in the sequel.

Or maybe he is really a British comedian, and some random villain just says he is the Shredder (in name only). Glad no other comic/action film thought of that...oh wait...

Okay, the couch chairs and coffee table being made out of Pizza Hut boxes is an awesome touch.
