Dusty really over complicated things on RAW. When Steph gave him the option of Cody or Dustin to have a spot in WWE, he should have just been like, "Well, it was Cody's spot originally, so CODY."
Instead of droning on and on about a parent not having to pick favorites. These guys are both like 30+ years old, we're talking Sophie's Choice here.
He could have undercut all of Steph's BS just by going, "Cody. Is that all?"

Dustin just fought the week before for Cody's job. He didn't think he'd get rehired.
So of course picking Cody made the most sense.

Oh thank Hova I wasn't the only one to have this thought on Monday. Dusty's choice should've been much easier. Also, Dusty's Choice (a WWE Films production) would sell all of the goddamn movie tickets ever.

Plus, he should have known that Dustin inevitably gets rehired like a year after being fired. It's his superpower.

He should've picked the one that brought the bicycle.

There should have been a third option. Cake.
He should have picked the cake.

Maybe Dusty thought picking Cody over Dustin. Would finally push Dustin over the edge, and he'd finally get those breast implants.

Legitimate question: are any of you guys that are saying Dusty should've picked the logical choice parents?
Dustin was fighting for Cody's job when there was no opportunity there. He was also in the best shape he's been in a decade, wrestled the match of his life and nearly beat the current WWE champion. He still has something left in the tank.
You don't just choose the younger kid just because because he had the job before. You don't just pick between your kids. This is the emotional thread they were trying to pull at.

Exactly. Stephanie put Dusty in a position that no parent with multiple children should never have to face.

He definitely should've picked Cody. Aside from the fact that it was Cody's spot to begin with, to me it seems obvious to pick the person who is much, much younger and has much more potential. Dustin is pretty old, and it's not like he hadn't already had a reasonably long career.
