A reference like this is only profane if the kid already knows about the book. If they know about the book, then it's a little late to corrupt them, isn't it? And if they don't get it? Then it's a book about oatmeal. The cover bears no resemblance to the actual book, so that excuse wouldn't fly either, that it would cause a kid to look into it.
If someone is upset about them doing Law and Order: ABC, having the Kurt stand-in sounding extremely swish in their Glee parody, or True Mud, then yeah, you might have something to be upset about here, but here? It's pretty innocent laughs for the adults that the kids will never notice.
