Now that is how you make midcarders look strong.
The crowd were really invested in the match and they had every reason to be.
The Shield looked strong in losing and going against 11 people whilst not making the opposition look weak for needing 11 people to beat them
Everyone in this match benefited greatly.
Plus it benefited from a hot angle and reason for it taking place
And it was one of the most fun matches I've seen in ages.

It was all around awesome. Loved every moment of the main event.

I gotta say, I love the multi-man main events in WWE. Very seldom do they not get the crowd into a frenzy, and the last five minutes is usually amazing, edge-of-your-seat action.
I know there's usually the trite series of spots where guys hit their finishers one after another, but it still works, and I still love it.

And just the fact that it led to Reigns' first pinfall by an USO. All great stuff.

While I hated that too, I did like that it made Ryder look slightly better by comparison.

When I was a kid Survivor Series was always my favorite PPV because I liked those team elimination matches.

I liked the one on SD better but Raw's was fun too.

This match was over like gangbusters. You put a shitload of career midcarders in your main event with all but one of them being a young talent, and the crowd goes f***ing nuts even by Chicago standards.

It was a great match. It made the entire midcard look great. It doesn't even matter if Gabriel didn't get any offense, or how quickly Kofi or Ryder were laid out. The crowds saw them standing side-by-side with Bryan, which could possibly give all of them a great rub. What's also great is what they've done with Cody. They seem to be giving the other faces they're own individual angles, albeit one at a time. They did it with Cody, and now they seem to have something planned with Miz. Even with Big Show it feels like it may lead to something.

How exactly did it make anyone except the Shield look strong? Your number one contender against Del Rio got pinned clean in two minutes, the other guys were pinned in that much time.
It basically said "these guys are jokes and can't beat the Shield unless there's 11 of them."
Absolutely baffling booking.

Remember how Dolph Ziggler almost beat The (entire) Shield by himself simply because they were handicapped by having to tag in and out of the ring? In the end I believe the Shield DQ'd themselves rather than eat the defeat after a Zig Zag. The RAW main event is the same concept on a bigger scale. The Shield is a stronger unit as a 3-Man team than any random 11-Man team the WWE roster can rustle-up. In the end it came down to a Dusty Finish and Daniel Bryan got the drop on Seth Rollins (but they could've easily given Seth the victory after the eliminated Shield members came back down to the ring as a distraction).

RVD got killed by Del Rio on last week's Smackdown, wrestled Orton on Raw and got killed by him in a beatdown, and then was beaten down by Del Rio again immediately after. So to think that he should have a competitive showing against the Shield is pretty ridiculous, in my opinion. Guy was bandaged from head to toe and you thought it was baffling that he'd go down quickly?

I disagree. I thought it was a disappointing match, with baffling booking, especially in the beginning.
The face team consisted of eleven guys; two entire tag teams, and at least four other guys who are former tag team champions and yet nobody thinks to make any saves? And who is the genius who thinks tagging in the guy with busted ribs, or the guy with a busted arm is good option while there are eight other uninjured guys to chose from? That really took me out of the match until the "fat was trimmed".
Furthermore, I thought Ryder, Gabriel and Truth, three former tag champs, looked awful. That match should have had those guys, who were fresh and uninjured get some serious shots in. Those were the guys who should have picked up for the slack for RVD, Kofi, and PTP. Something that also should have been taken up by the commentary team, who I think get worse every week. I am more than a little tired of commentary spoon feeding me things that are painfully obvious.

The match reminded me of the South Park episode "Stanley's Cup" when the pee-wee hockey team gets annihlated by the Detroit Red Wings, who celebrate like it's the biggest win of their lives as We Are The Champions played. Even if you take out the guys who already wrestled that night...it was still 7 on 3!
