The product has gone from bad to worse.
Do I have this right?

i don't know if he's taken over, but if he was behind this heel Dixie stuff, then yeah - it hasn't gotten any better that's for sure.

Whoever is running creative is handcuffed by the Budget Cutter. Though that's still no excuse for making Dixie a heel boss.

It's been pretty dreary lately. Last night was a little better, but Bischoff really needs to go.

I say he's probably only doing the Dixie angle. If you cut that part out of impact, you'll notice the show looks a little more coherent.

See Brother Love was giving us a good show and at times a great show but that wasn't enough see thats why we can't have nice things.

See Brother Love was giving us a good show and at times a great show but that wasn't enough see thats why we can't have nice things. He was let go because he failed to sign big talent that nearly screwed up angles. See Bobby Roode that could have been really bad. Dvon while champion. If he was good at everything he did than he still be around and had a good product. Yes Eric got that job in place and he not very good at it. The NWO was a one hit wonder for the guy. He doesn't know how to push younger stars or create new stars. When you let Austin, HHH, and Foley walk because you didn't see stars in them but want to bring is people the WWE made. Eric made three MEers his own in DDP, Giant and Goldberg. Everyone else was either already made or made by someone else after his tender.

As far as letting people walk, to be fair to Bischoff, hindsight is always much easier than foresight. Both WWE and WCW had their fair share of failed experiments.

Eric has been in charge since he came in, only difference between then and now is a title.

Eric has been in charge since he came in, only difference between then and now is a title. Most likely very true. But there was a thread about him taking over as head of creative, and in that thread I said I was glad because finally the "well Eric doesn't really have any say in anything he just does production stuff" excuse is over with, and it's time to see what he's got. And so far, so bad.

I feel bad for the guy, with all the handcuffing between losing talent and yet not debuting anyone new yet, not to mention all the fixed stuff from BFG series, Aces & Eights and Main Event Mafia he already got saddled with.
I'd think we would have a much better sample of his work 2 months after BFG.

There's certainly been a rather heavy decline in quality since he took over. TNA was putting on some really great stuff earlier on in the year & now it's all gone pretty downhill. Bully Ray seems to be feeling it the worst out of anyone so far; I loved his mid-year explanation after Lockdown of how Aces & 8's worked around him getting the World Title. It felt right & made up for any low-points the group was having & have since fallen back into.

It's only now he's become the head booker so he doesn't really deserve much sympathy.

Can't blame Pritchard and Russo for the past 5 years of booking. They wrote the show but others made revisions and approved the scripts.
