Does anyone else get annoyed when seeing old footage look like it was recorded on a 90's home camcorder in promos and build ups? I know they are skint right now but please convert!

Doubt they have the money to do it It's not a matter of money so much as source material. You can't increase the quality of video beyond its source. It's not like you can take SD video upconvert it and now you have something equivalent to native HD video. |

Not to mention that even WWE doesn't do that, they just remove as much grain as possible and put some buffers down the edges
(Also, seriously, what is it with american TV and staying in 4:3 as long as humanly possible?)

It's not like you can take SD video upconvert it and now you have something equivalent to native HD video. Plus it's not like film. Older movies are able to get the blu ray treatment because film captures a great a mount of detail(that is sometimes loss when going into tv,vhs or dvd format). Not so much with tape. |

I just wish TNA would keep their SD footage 4:3 rather than stretching it out to 16:9 every time it's used in a promo package. Everyone looks extremely wide.

I just wish TNA would keep their SD footage 4:3 rather than stretching it out to 16:9 every time it's used in a promo package. Everyone looks extremely wide. Samoa Joe ALWAYS looks like that. |
