This tweet was sent out by Pro Wrestling Syndicate last night. I have no idea if it is legit or not.
ProWrestlinSyndicate @prowresyndicate So proud to officially announce that @codyrhodeswwe will be exclusively joining the PWS roster as soon as his 90 no compete clause expires!

For what it's worth, he's going along with it.

What spoils this though is the "90 days" thing. Remember when Bryan got released after the tie incident, and he worked Chikara pretty much the following weekend?

One of the many things that should have happened during the Summer of Punk pt. 2.

And (god forbid) if Cody gets injured. They look like dumbasses.

For what it's worth, Cody and Pat Buck are good friends, though hopefully WWE were informed about these tweets beforehand, so that they don't get too out of control, and people aren't disappointed if Cody doesn't appear at an indy show.

I recall a tidbit shortly after he was released where it was announced that Vince/the WWE waived that clause for him. ........as either part of the angle (did he really get let go? I don't even know these things are real anymore...) or as a good will gesture considering his release was so weird........

One of the many things that should have happened during the Summer of Punk pt. 2. Most definitely. I remember seeing a shoot where Shane Douglas talks about how he would've done the Summer of Punk, and I don't really like him, but he had the right idea easily.

Basically you can wrestle anywhere as soon as your contract expires but you can't wrestle on TV or PPV or IPPV or whatever for 90 days. I might be wrong on that though.

Not that I'm opposed to this, but why didn't they do this during the Summer of Punk. It would've had WAY more impact than Cody going on the indies will have. Sometimes I don't get this company

The closest they came with Punk was his one off appearance for AAW where he put over Gregory Iron... who doesn't wrestle for AAW anymore.

This applies to any wrestler doing anything ever. It's unnecessary risk and adds nothing to the story. It's not like anyone believes he's fired what does it do for anyone? Why is it such a hazard for a professional wrestler to wrestle in a wrestling match?

Pipe dream. No way WWE let Cody wrestle on an indy show. WWE likes to have total control of where their folks wrestle especially after the Tiger Ali Singh incident in Puerto Rico.
