Pipe dream. No way WWE let Cody wrestle on an indy show. WWE likes to have total control of where their folks wrestle especially after the Tiger Ali Singh incident in Puerto Rico. Explain good sir.

Guys, WWE are aware of this, they probably planned this to happen and they wouldn't have let Cody tweeted if they didn't approve it in some way.
An angle will be done involving this and a deal was probably made with Pro Wrestling Syndicate.
WWE aren't a dumb company, as much as we liked to think they are/have shown they can be.

Before WWE made OVW their developmental territory, they would send wrestlers to IWA Puerto Rico for experience and training. IWA PR wasn't recognize as officially working with WWE just using the folks who got sent there on shows. During an outdoor stadium show, it started to rain hard. Instead of cancelling the show or drying up the water, IWA PR continue on. Singh slipped and suffered a career ending injury. He got released from his contract soon after and sued them for having work in unfair conditions and racial discrimination. WWE countered they had no control over IWA PR and not responsible for the injury since it didn't happening in a WWE ring.

This would be cool but there's no way the Cody is fired angle lasts for 90 days so oh well. I'd love to see Cody do a couple indy appearances while this angle lasts but it shan't happen.

Anyone else interested why they chose PWS of all the indies to do this with? Nothing against PWS, I've never actually watched their product so I can't comment, I'm just curious.

Earlier in this thread, someone said that Cody is friends with the owner of the company. It could very well be as simple as that.

Cody is not being pushed. He's being shoved. And I am so thankful. The pop he'll get next time he wrestles will be insane.

Wouldn't be surprised if he made a non-wrestling appearance for PWS.

What harm could it do? Vince is actually very lenient and respectful when it comes to his guys and any Indy dates they may have. Daniel Bryan was wrestling independent dates for a few months, even after his return at Summerslam.

Unless goes all the way with the angle and make his future endeavored real, it's not going to happen. Bryan made those dates while he was pink slipped. WWE asked for him to return before Bryan could do them. And WWE doesn't pay money to promoters; they have the talent make that up whenever it is prudent. And even then, the promotions got to make sure the guys don't get hurt.

From today's Wrestling Observer news update:
"--As virtually everyone knows and nobody is fooled, the tweet from Pro Wrestling Syndicate and Cody Rhodes claiming Rhodes will be working for them as a regular once his WWE non-compete is up in 90 days are a work for Rhodes to build his current angle like he's actually fired."

I can't see WWE keeping Cody off TV for 90 days.
