Seeing Sabu in RVD's "Extreme" YouTube highlights got me thinking...he should make a cameo at Battleground.
Here's how I'd play it out:
Ricardo (predictably) turns on RVD during his match with ADR. Van Dam is getting the crap kicked out of him until the lights go completely dark. When they turn on, Sabu is pointing toward the heavens! After a texas tornado duel, RVD and Sabu put ADR and Ricardo through the double tables, from opposite ends of the ring, Heatwave '98 style.
New World Heavyweight Champion, RVD.
THEN...
During the main event between Orton and DB, all hell breaks loose when The Shield get involved. In turn, the babyfaces (RVD and Sabu included) rush the ring, thwarting everything in sight...
UNTIL...
Just as Sabu sees Seth Rollins in his sights, he stops and looks forlorn and bewildered.
Rollins, too, is hesitant to strike Sabu, as it's obvious that his mind is being weighed down HEAVILY.
Suddenly, Rollins elbow smashes Dean Ambrose, turning FACE, as he and Sabu (along with the rest of the babyfaces) run wild, enabling Bryan to get his victory.
While Bryan is "YES'ing" to the tune of another WWE Championship reign, the camera pans to Sabu and Rollins on the outside, who after several seconds of pensive pauses, EMBRACE!!!
Seth Rollins is the long lost son of SABU!
The uncanny resemblance between the two is FINALLY explained!

Thank Christ! I was certain that angle was going to turn into fan fiction porn for a moment.

He should be a popcorn vendor. They even reference it on the PPV. After RVD wins, they cut to Sabu who is in the middle of a sale not even paying attention.
That's the last time we ever see Sabu in WWE.

You've been smoking the same stuff him & RVD get, haven't you?

You've been smoking the same stuff him & RVD get, haven't you? Second half was somewhat facetious, but...first part of him helping Van Dam to overcome Del Rio (and a dastardly Ricardo) would be pretty cool...admit it!

You forgot the part where he botches nine times.

You forgot the part where he botches nine times. Eh, there'd be really nothing to botch...pretty straight forward stuff

Vince would probably rather tell Sabu to go f*** Sabu (old newz reference...).

Ricardo turning on RVD is not predictable at all, because RVD's shot at the World Title happened so completely separately from Ricardo's split with Alberto connecting them defies all logic.
Also, running in to make a save from a beatdown is not a cameo. If you actually accomplish the save it's closer to a starring role than a cameo

He will do a run-in to supply RVD with the pot that he will use like Popeye to win his match.
