Eh.
I can deal with it.
Just like "plucky babyface," it's a character type that's going to be around wrestling for as long as it's around.
Though, Vince McMahon wasn't the same character as Eric Bischoff nor was Bischoff the same character as Hulk Hogan, nor Hogan the same character as AJ, nor AJ the same character as Palmer Cannon...

It must just be me who thinks having an evil authority figure, in some shape or form produces the best TV. Nothing builds a crowd reaction like a good guy finally rising up and getting the best of big bad boss man.

You forgot Joe Castellini from the GWF, who would make ridiculous rulings in favor of the heels, such as fining Butch Reed for getting a fireball thrown in his face by Skandor Akbar, because he was drunk and the liquor on his breath lighted Akbar's cigar up, or something.
