Yes, especially if it goes back to being as good as when it was called WWF.

They'd be stupid to, given it cost them tons of money having to change everything over the first time and they've only just over the past few years managed to paint themselves as this fun for the whole family all purpose brand.
Want something mind-blowing? They were only WWF for 23 years, and at this point they've been WWE for 11.

The switch to WWE and inclusion of the word "entertainment" in the on-screen name and slogan was effectively the end of kayfabe. They try to maintain it now, but much of it is done with a wink to the camera. In days past it was a simulated sport with theatrical elements to it. Now it's like an episode of SNL, with a "roll up roll up see the freak show when it comes to your town!" vibe to it. At the end of every episode they may as well gather everyone together in the ring while they all cheer and congratulate each other on a show well done while end credits play. People may say "well it's always been entertainment" and that's true, but they did at least make an effort to not reveal too much so openly. It wasn't meta and wasn't self-knowing and referential.
The old way was better.

I just want them to embrace the power and rename World Wrestling Entertainment to World Wrestling Empire.

No because it will ruin Adrian English's song he sings.

I heard on youtube that if they make it WWF wrestling can be good again, so I'm all for it.

Now that they no longer have to mutilate old footage, I don't care what it's called. Though personally I still call refer to things that happened before the name change as "WWF".

yea but only if they use the full phrase "world wrestling federation" often. Like when they refer to titles and such. When's the last time you heard "world wrestling entertainment?"

I'd rather they drop the ultra-sanitized and over-produced look of their TV shows and PPV.

I like that it's easy to identify non-fans when they say WWF.

It'd be a goldmine. Like imagine this shirt, and how it would appeal to lapsed "wrestling sux now" fans that still follow online front: WWF: GET THE F' BACK IN! back: AND LOCK THE DOOR, BITCHES!

WWE sucks and WWF was a much better name, but I'm used to it so much that I now usually call all footage even stuff from before 2003 (or 2002? whenever it changed), "WWE".
So I don't really care anymore.

The name won't make a difference. It's not like if they change their name to WWF, good storylines, blood, violence, and the Attitude Era belt will magically come back. Plus, in hindsight, wouldn't you want to keep the WWF memories pure rather than clog them with associating the term "WWF Champion" with guys like Cena or Del Rio? Or how about the WWF Universe? The WWF App? I don't think so.

Considering the vast majority of people who are only casually aware of pro wrestling still think it's called WWF, being able to change the name back would be nice.

Technically the initials no longer stand for anything since 2011, I think? And I have a question from another thread that is relevant here... What IS the situation now with what logos WWE can use and when? For a while, they were blocking just the scratch in pics and footage, then the scratch AND block in pictures only, then both in both, now in footage they can use all the logos and the initials "WWF," yet in the magazine and some footage and promos for Classics on Demand, all logos are blurred or altered. Why did they change the rules in the first place, and why does it seem to keep changing thereafter?

Why did they change the rules in the first place, and why does it seem to keep changing thereafter? Last July, WWE reached a settlement with the WWF and the wrestling company is now permitted to use any of its former logos and the "WWF" initials in pre-existing, historical footage. This includes both verbal references to "the WWF" and the initials in on-screen graphics, i.e. "WWF Champion Steve Austin." However, WWE can't use its former logos to promote any new products. Hence, why the most recent Old School Raw used the "retroized" WWE logo (the old block logo with the F chopped off) and why the Attitude Era DVD cover had the splotch of green paint where the "F" would be. WWE Magazine has been reprinting classic covers as part of its 30th anniversary and for any cover pre-May 2002, they use the altered block logo I mentioned earlier.

As soon as it was changed back to WWF, all the on air personalities that call it WWF now would switch to calling it WWE.
This would ensure they could continue pretending they don't know what the current name is to make sure everyone knows they don't watch wrestling.

Had the internet existed in the 80's would there be people wanting to change the name back to the W.W.W.F.? Would they also demand they get rid of the stupid eagle title and bring the real belt back?:
