49 days to go then... I guess I should start rewatching the series. Want to watch all of the episodes and Equestria Girls before then.

Watched Japanese Episode 1 in Season 2 today, "The Monster Discord"...

Well, we already talked about Discord's voice before. Suits the character well and portrays his character accordingly.

Where Sweetie Belle calls Scootaloo a dodo in the original, here she flat out calls her an idiot (tonchiki) but they keep the joke about Scoots not knowing what that means.

Otherwise, nothing much to say translation-wise.

Cuts I noticed:

1. The first convo between the CMC got cut (the one with Scoots calling SB a dictionary). We cut from the CMC bumping into each other to Cheerilee standing at the Discord statue.

2. The first scene after the intro with Rainbow Dash and the cotton candy cloud got cut. We start the episode with Applejack harvesting corn.

3. After the elements have been discovered missing, Pinkie Pie going away to get some strizzle straw got cut.


Otherwise, we have a new ending song (already posted). Also they replaced some Season 1 footage in the intro with Season 2 footage.
