I understand the likelihood of this is as likely as Bryan actually winning the WWE title any time soon, but hear me out...
December 15th, 1997. The Attitude Era is spawned with the 'Cure for the Common Show'. Vince broke kayfabe to introduce the opening of a new "creative envelope" for the WWF. He mentioned that he thought fans were tired of having our intelligence insulted. So, history shows Vince has broken the rules, so to speak, to address the fans publicly.
Now, tonight's PPV is hardly going to bring a new era after the BS/Refund chants and mass social media uproar. But surely WWE have to realise that tonight, they screwed up big style. Thousands of people chanting refund, and seemingly every fan on Twitter screaming BS... not because Bryan didn't win, but because we didn't get the WWE Champion we were supposed to get by "the end of the night".
Could we see a pre-show, non-kayfabe apology regarding the outcome of Battleground? Perhaps promising fans a legit title winner on Raw to reimburse the fans? Probably not, but it will be interesting to see if anything does come out of the backlash the WWE are receiving after two months of PPV criticism.

I hope that wherever they are tomorrow the fans are chanting "Bullshit" during the 30+ minute Vince/Steph/HHH/Big Show/Orton/Bryan/Maddox/whoever else promo that will open the show.

WWE is a collective ass that will keep screwing us over and over again. Wouldn't that make them a dick, then?

They're the only game in town. They can pretty much do what they want right now as they now they've got X number of people that will always pay.
It legit amazes me people still buy ppvs; especially for what forty five bucks now? f***.

Yeah, if WWE was a collective ass, it would be like 'Hey guys come here come here come here, check this out!', then proceed to fart in your face and laugh incessantly for about 10 minutes.

If anything, they're probably pleased as all hell that is trending and such. It shows people are watching and care and they can chalk it up to 'controversy' etc. The only way it'd be a negative to 'em is if Hell in a Cell dropped HUGE numbers, and not just like a smattering, but tens of thousands of people tuning out.
But that ain't happening.

I don't see a non-kayfabe apology, but I could see Vince interrupting Triple H and Stephanie and telling them they're dicking people out of their money by screwing up main events, and that's bad for business etc. So it would be an acknowledgement, but in storyline.

Speaking of, watch Vince make a surprise return to address the controversy (perhaps interrupting HHH during his promo), then setting up the Hell in a Cell Main Event match.

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me. Vince seems to always pop up when the ratings for RAW go to absolute shit like they did last week.

But...I kinda like it. Solid, well drawn out storyline. So did I. Honestly, I went into this show expecting full well that there was going to be shenanigans. The WWE promised me one thing: You will be entertained for three hours. And guess what? I was. No, it wasn't the best show ever, but it was fun. If anything's ruining it for me, it's the "call Cox cable and demand a refund" Internet jackasses that feel the need to bitch about every little thing that happens. (And no, that's not directed to you guys. You're fine by me.)
