You ain't getting an apology and nor should you. Your questionable consumerism isn't WWE's fault, that 45 dollar disappointment is all yours.

PPVs have always been meant for building to the next PPV, though. That's why they show an ad for the next one while this one is going on. I'll agree that for how much Battleground cost, they could've waited until Raw to do something like that, but (imo) Daniel Bryan winning or Randy Orton winning clean means the story is over. You have to give people a reason to tune in the next night and keep it going, which is exactly what Big Show standing tall did. I just can't understand demanding a refund because the outcome wasn't what people wanted. I even read that people were demanding refunds because of the power outage. That's just ridiculous to me. It's like Kane & Undertaker simultaneously pinning Stone Cold at (I think) Breakdown 1998, only for Vince to take Austin's WWF Title to declare "YOU DON'T HAVE IT ANYMORE! IT'S MINE! IT'S MINE!". It's like Austin getting himself fired for not counting the fall for either Kane or Taker in their WWF Title match. It's just a part of the story that's far from over, just like this Big Show business. You'll notice however, that in your examples there were resolutions to the title match. Confusing resolutions sure, but resolutions. In this Big Show came down and it just ended. With the other ones if you paid to see someone win the title, you got to see that. With this one you didn't.

It'd be pretty great if Vince just came out without warning and said "Sorry about last night folks, seriously my bad" then left. And then he'd fall into a newly formed crack in the earth, and the planet would then be overcome by lava and demons and then the universe blows up.

Far as I'm concerned, tonight's ending to RAW was an apology for last night. It was that good.
