So I've had a thought about Cena/Del Rio which is that Del Rio is about to become Bane. He is going to break the hero. Cena's injury was meant to be much longer for rehab and what does the world title mean for Cena since he's firstly above it and also he doesn't work Smackdown. Maybe this is the WWE's attempt at rebooting Del Rio, instead of the arrogant millionaire have Alberto Del Rio the amazing athlete that will stop at nothing for the victory. He will break you in two for the W, he will end your career to get his hand raised, he will end your life for glory. I was thinking the same thing. Then Vickie gets blamed for bringing Cena back too early, adding her to Triple H & Steph's shit list along with Brad Maddox. A longshot, but it'd be an interesting turn of events.

If they're going to sacrifice Cena to someone, at least let it be someone the crowd gives two shits about. Del Rio's lack of heat is so extreme that taking out Cena won't make anyone care about him any more than they already do.

God dammit! Why! Punk (and Heyman) deserves better and should be in the Corporate feud right now (once the Lesnar/Punk match happened at SS, they should tied the two stories together straight away with Heyman aligning with the Corporation the next Raw, and Punk with Bryan as a form of retaliation the week after). I can't care about Ryback and that is down to them, and Punk can't get a good match out of him. And that is saying something considering how Punk works. Bryan managed to get a good match out of Ryback, but I don't want to see Punk/Ryback again. I don't see Heyman aligning with Corporation, not since they played up the animosity between Heyman and both BMtheGM and Trips. What I think is have Heyman align with Bryan and have Punk go Corporate. Even More interesting would be more interesting would be to build up Heymans stable. He gets The Wyatts to take on the Sheild. Talks RVD into coming back for old times sake. Then he starts functioning as a third faction, kind of like a chaotic-neutral alignment in gaming.

CM Punk vs Ryback is now CM Punk vs Ryback and Paul Heyman in a Hell in a Cell match:

I've gotta say, this show's looking even worse than Battleground. Maybe a decent undercard will form, there is a chance we'll get Rhodes / Shield and maybe Ziggler / Ambrose plus probably Real Americans / Los Matadores (assuming they're capable of fighting people who aren't 3MB), but... Yeah, the matches they've announced so far aren't inspiring any confidence in this show.

I guess this is how the angle ends, with Punk winning and kicking the shit out of Heyman inside the Cell, so he can finally move on from this story.

While the past few Raw's have been lackluster, I think this card is very intriguing. I've been enjoying the Bryan/Orton feud and think their HIAC match will be fantastic (and I really hope Bryan ends up winning it, not getting screwed by HBK). Punk vs. Ryback & Heyman in the HIAC has me intrigued. Curious to see what happens in Cena/ADR (mainly to see how in shape John is).
I'm kind of hoping the Tag Title match is a Triangle Match between the Rhodes Family, The Shield & The Usos. If so, that'll make this show even more intriguing.

Yeah the time spent talking about how The Usos are the #1 contenders not the Rhodes last night makes me think it'll be a triangle match which honestly could go either way and I'm sure it would be a great match. WWE really hit gold with this Rhodes family storyline. With "The Authority" forming after Summerslam the three main things seemed to be The Rhodes, Big Show and Bryan storylines. The Big Show deal has gone beyond stupid and completely sucks and they've taken a lot of heat out of the Bryan storyline (although it's still kinda good) but they've hit a home run with the Rhodes' and long may it continue.

I'm honestly thinking that Bryan will win at Hell in a Cell, so we can have Trips getting pissed at Shawn for allowing Bryan to win.

I think he and Heyman win, but Punk attacks them after the match and locks himself in the Cell with Heyman while Ryback is outside. Heyman takes a beating.

I'm honestly thinking that Bryan will win at Hell in a Cell, so we can have Trips getting pissed at Shawn for allowing Bryan to win. I'm half-thinking Bryan will win, just because they seem terrified of actually giving Orton the title or making him an actual player in this storyline. He seems to be in a position where he's being written as being completely disposable the second Triple H finds someone else he could give the title to instead. Either way, I pray they don't do Bryan / Orton again at Survivor Series. This match has been beaten into the ground as it is, and outside of their awesome no DQ match on Raw a few months ago it's never really been anything special.

I wanna say that HBK is gonna betray Bryan leading to a match between the two down the road but HBK seems pretty insistent on never wrestling again. Never say never, I suppose.

I think this ends up being the full HIAC card:
Bryan vs. Orton w/ special ref HBK - HIAC match for WWE Title
Cena vs. Del Rio - World Heavyweight Championship
Punk vs. Ryback & Heyman - Handicap HIAC match
Rhodes Bros. vs. The Shield vs. The Usos - Triple Threat Match for Tag Titles
Tamina & AJ vs. The Bella Twins
Los Matadores vs. The Real Americans
Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz
Triple H issues in-ring challenge to Big Show (to set up Survivor Series match)
Kickoff: Dolph Ziggler vs. Fandango

Not sure the extent of Bray's injury, so I could see Miz teaming up with Kofi to take on Harper & Rowan.

{Spoiler}From the spoilers for SD, why would I not be surprised if we also get Langston vs. Axel?

{Spoiler}From the spoilers for SD, why would I not be surprised if we also get Langston vs. Axel? {Spoiler}Well, the seed is already planted at Paul being pissed at Axel, so maybe him losing the IC title to Langston will be the straw that breaks the camels back. I can see them teasing Langston going face, and then Paul aligning with him and doing a double turn with Axel as face and Langston as a Heyman guy. Not that Axel will fare much better as a face, but still.

Might as well try out a face run before giving up on him entirely.

Heyman's sublime as a performer but this whole angle makes me miss the days where he was wickedly supporting Punk or Lesnar, mostly in the background. All this to say that I sincerely don't want Big E to be saddled with the label of a 'Paul Heyman guy'.
