Hey, Piper's Pit is awesome and gave us some of the most iconic moments in wrestling history. As a big fan of Piper I have to say as many very cool moments it gave, two thirds of the time it was absolute doss/incredibly embarrassing. Two of my least favourite moments in wrestling are the...just...sickeningly bad segment between Brother Love, Morton Downey Jnr and Piper, and the weird "NO NO NO"/"Y2J...Y2J" shouting Piper on the very last Piper's Pit. The last one actually reminded me of dementia in some elderly relatives, the former was just an awful idea and wasn't Piper's fault, but he featured & it was a Piper's Pit so yeah... As brilliant as Piper can be, he's so inconsistent with it (in ring & out) that he's an interesting guy to chat about at the very least, for positive & negative reasons.

I've never liked the talk show segments, as they are all cut-and-paste with whichever talent they decide gets a talk show for that time being, and they all start and end the same. And starting the show with a promo is such a tired archaic trope. How WWE hasn't figured out what to do with their segments beyond "the formula" is beyond me. Quick question: What DO you like? I know you're a big anime fan, learned that much from our podcast days but wrestling wise what DO you like? I don't think I've seen a positive post from you in a wrestling thread ever. Like this isn't even a dig at you, I'm curious. Totally fair question. And justified. I know I give off that vibe. I like any and all things Daniel Bryan and I'm far more emotionally invested in him that I'd like to admit. Santino occasionally, and anytime Scott Sanford gets face time. The only things I actively DISLIKE are Dolph Ziggler and WWE's overall narrative. And my tolerance of crappy wrestling for the lulz is almost zero. And it's a bit tough for me these days in a post CHIKARA-world, but I may have just discovered the indies thanks to something I'll be talking about soon.

I'm not a fan of wrestling, I prefer talking in any form. I hold the same opinion, whether he was being serious or not But to be more accurate, I like wrestling because of the stories, not the wrestling. However I still respect a good match and good workers.

If wrestling was written well it wouldn't be such a problem.
I honestly can't believe there are those who prefer promos over matches? Why even watch wrestling at all? You could probably watch almost anything else and get just as mush, if not more out of it.

I do enjoy a good promo, but, so many of them seem to last too long. Like the wrestler takes 10-15 minutes to say something that could be said in like 7 minutes. Punk is really bad for this.
Hate talk show segments. I've always found them boring and just too long.
