I really liked the storyline. It was nice to see one of those guys get a win (ok, it had happened in the past) and Horowitz always had more charisma than the average jobber. I really liked the SummerSlam match they had and the elimination match when they were (kind-of) captains of opposing Survivor Series teams was great. It might have been because there was a lack of lower-card babyfaces at the time or because he had been a decent employee for them for so long they rewarded him with a push. I don't really know why they did it but I don't care.

It always weirded me out that when the gimmick was over, his career with them was too.
5-10 years working there, and when he finally gets a characters and some wins, THAT's when he gains an expiration date.

They were desperate for new faces, and it made sense at the time. He could work, he was well liked, the fans knew who he was and it worked with The 1-2-3 Kid so why not try it again?

Barry Horowitz has the kind of smile where every time you see an image of him you just imagine him about to say his own name.

It's an odd moment in time, but I really did enjoy the 3 wins (well, 2 wins and a...draw?) against Candido.
I think I accepted it even more because I'm not a fan of Candido in any form, I've seen a hundred of his matches but I just...he's an alright technical guy but I haven't quite seen anything that made him seem charismatic in ring apart from having a manager.
Truth be told it always seemed to be a case of "Sunny's coming in...suppose we need to grab Candido too."
Sorry, that was entirely off topic, but yes, Horowitz wins...for the third time made sense to me, it was a nice feel good moment, the Horowitz shirt that gets shown post-match in an awful interview always makes me laugh too.

I loved it. He was the perfect jobber to turn into an underdog story. I bet that Barry Horowitz shirt is worth hundreds

I have a feeling that while they weren't going to push him into, say, an IC title run, they did want to thank him for his hard work with a little push before he went out.

What was reason behind one of my favourite Enhancement Talents getting victories, After years of watching lose in WWF & WCW he suddenly gets the victory over Skip, who came up with the idea, does FAN think this run was good/bad ? Because it was 1995. A period of transition in the WWF. A company that had been losing viewership that lacked direction in terms of long-term superstar talent. Not to mention, a thriving competitive promotion in WCW that began their journey into the prime time Monday basic cable lineup. This company that had what seemed like a open checkbook willing to sign anyone so they can finally knock the WWF off their perch. A strategy that started to show signs of progress. The WWF had lost their identity after the departure of Hulk Hogan in 1993 and tried to build around younger talent, but only leading to mixed results. Hey! Are you still reading this? Okay, so check this out. I got a Brazilian wax earlier today. Long story short, I shoulda taken the Jaguars to cover. Anyway, it was a nightmare. My first thought was that I lost at least two layers of skin. Once the attendant (I don't know their official job title) showed me a view of the manhood region with a mirror, I felt a newfound sense of re-enlightment. Was a little awkward when I put a $20 bill over my pecker. Apparently, my assesment of job occupations that offer happy endings was incorrect. This also happened with my attorney. Anyhow, now I'm itching like crazy. Tried calamine lotion, but it's been mixed results so far. Thinking about buying a back scratcher and just use it for my crotch. Should be fun when I go to work tomorrow. I hope my boss likes what she sees.

Granted, it was before my time, but from what I've heard of it it sounds like this was probably your first brazilian wax. I've been getting them since I was like 18, and the pain and terror of the first two times is a distant memory. That said, I hope when you come into my office on Monday you've figured this out, or you're fired.
