1) "MRS FANDANGO." self explanatory 2) "I'M CALLING THE MATCH, MICHAEL, let me take 5 minutes to not call the match to prove this, MAGGLE!" whenever Cole tells him to focus on a match 3) "@jblayfield" or whatever it is whenever social media's mentioned 4) "GET A TATTOO ON YOUR NECK TOO IF YOU WIN A MATCH, HAHA, AJ WHAT A LOSER!?!" every single week And 200 other things. Both Lawler & JBL are urgh, but JBL is worse as he actively shouts over other people and mocks wrestlers every week. He's not on Cole-heel levels of ruining commentary (though you had an excuse of "well, that was to feed a storyline" with that period of time) but damn, he's worse, he's like a bizarre sexist uncle constantly mocking anything you or anyone else does at a family get together and refusing to leave upon his 20th drink...it's almost like he's a heel or something.

It'd be a good excuse but much like Heel-Cole for 3/4 of that run if it's badly performed & badly implemented it's a failure either way. I mean, I enjoy listening to JBL in any area that isn't the show so it's a strange one. Wonder if it is laziness or the old voices in the ear piece thing.

You people need to learn some respect for a WRESTLING GAWD.
And yes, I do say "BALLGAME MAGGLE" in my everyday life.

Atleast he's got some energy and name drops Barry Horowitz every other week.
I swear though if he refers to himself and the and Lawler as "two dollars and a dime" towards Cole again I might shoot myself.

I've taken to saying SHUT UP, MAGGLE, SHUT UP to people who won't shut up when watching films at the cinema so regularly that it's become a bad habit. Albeit it's one of the better things that pro wrestling's inspired in me outside of the drug addictions, roof jumps, and constant murder suicides.

He's just trying too hard to be a heel recently, it's working but honestly I've never liked when the announcers had alignments. Just call the damn match, it's not like I'm gonna get to see the heel announcer get the shit kicked out of them very often so it all feels pointless most of the time.

JBL singing along with R-Truth's theme song is the best thing about him.

I think this needs a "MAGGLE Rock" joke, but I'm not sure of what to use.

Three man booths can be bad since guys end up talking over each other and JBL is terrible at that. I can't remember what it was specifically, might have been the show where Scott Armstrong did the "they caught us" thing with Bryan, where Lawler was trying to point out some flaw in the corporation's argument, and JBL kept jumping in and wouldn't let him finish the somewhat important point. Then Lawler just gave up on trying to say whatever it was.

The commentary will always be not as good as it should be, no matter who you put in the booth. The only guy I think that ever escaped criticism for me was Ventura, and that's only because wasn't as prevalent as his successors. Vince was annoying. Heenan was annoying. Monsoon was annoying. JR was annoying. Heyman was annoying. Tazz was/is annoying. When you put on a show every week, for 3 hours each time, you're going to get the same schtick. They aren't going to change it up too much, because it would confuse some people, I mean look at what they did with heel Michael Cole, that came out of nowhere and did more bad than good. Heenan was anything but annoying, I don't get why everyone loves JR and Monsoon so much but, I know I'll get my head bitten off, but Heenan was/is probably WWE's best ever commentator. On the topic of JBL, I don't dislike his commentary style but he does become a little unbearable.

I hate the three-man booth. King would be the one to go if I had my way.

He's OK as long as he's not talking shit about AJ
It's Lawler that bugs me.

It sounds like he's having a blast out there every week.

I don't mind JBL but admittedly he's been a little overbearing recently. I've never truly been happy with WWE's commentary since Heyman left and Lawler returned. Heyman and JR really spoiled me, they were just magnificent together. JBL would be better if he had someone better to go up against. He's in full on heel mode and Cole for some reason can't come up with adequate retorts. Cole's okay when he's solely focused on calling the match but in a opinion/debate situation he flounders and King's a waste of space these days. That leaves JBL as an overbearing heel who somehow manages to make more solid points than the face commentators.

I think the guy is damn good, but there are some things he does that drive me insane. WHATS UP! and his possibly sarcastic marking out for Los Matadores are really annoying. But overall, he adds a lot, and it's much better than just Lawler and Cole, who seem like they don't dislike each other, but at the same time are sick of each other and don't have anything in common other than having to work together all the time. I know that game.

He's horrible. And the sad thing is, he's the best of the three man team. That'd be Cole. He's not fantastic but at least he tries to put over the product more than himself even if he does tend to get dragged into JBL's messes. Given the state of commentary about three years ago (Heel Cole and people begging for JBL's return) this is really cruel irony.

I love JBL. I think the commentary team has been great actually. It's the attitude era, everyone has a side commentary that I love.
