Possibly, but what it really means is that if you are a fan of the Prime Time Players or the Usos, you should just acknowledge that a tag team title run isn't coming for them anytime soon or likely ever.
Both teams are now filling the role Cryme Tyme filled.

The plan will be for Dean Ambrose to get in a great, dynamic, interesting feud with a fresh new mid-carder that puts the latter over while allowing the former to move on to big and better things.
They'll then decide that plan is too much work and have Kofi beat him for it.

More or less, this push is for Cody and something will happen where they lose the belts and Goldust either fades out of the picture or turns heel. I assume the Real Americans (can't think of another heel team off the top of my head) win the belts, then lose them to the Prime Time Players or Usos. Hell, I would love a scenario where you have the Usos, PTP and a heel tag team just triangle tagging for the belts for the next year (as long as the belts aren't hotpotatoed much).

I think Ambrose will loose thanks to another Big Show walk-in and forget about this title to seek revenge and go after Show with the 2 others and Trips. Then we'll have a fresh and never seen before long term feud between Dolf and Kofi for the US strap that will eventually last for 5 or 6 months with 2 to 3 fights between them every week.

I'm thinking the Wyatt Family gets their win back at Survivor Series and goes on to feud with the PTP.

Not until he faces Kofi, it's about time that Kofi got a shot with one of the midcard titles to see what he can do....

Isn't the match on Main Event? I can't see that happening nowadays.

Richie Steamboat will finally debut on the main roster and challenge the Rhodes Family for the titles saying he has a mystery partner. His mystery partner turns out to be Cody Rhodes.

Isn't the match on Main Event? I can't see that happening nowadays. Kofi Kingston won the IC title last year around this time on Main Event. Yeah, but that's my point. That was last year and WWE C-Shows tend to follow an equation about their importance that goes more or less like this: I : Importance TI: Theoretical Importance(Importance it could have) [ TI < Raw ] [ TI >= Smackdown][In that it could theoretically be more important than Smackdown, not that it is] R: Raw [Raw>All] L: Lifetime Length P: Promotional Time(Number of times the show is mentioned on Raw). PR stands for mentions on Raw, PS for mentions on Smackdown. To find P: P = PR + PS*0.5 I = [-1(TI-Raw)] - [L - P] Assigning arbitrary values of 4 to Raw, 2 to Smackdown and 2 to Main Event's theoretical importance, we clearly see that the higher though the show may maintain a positive balance at first, as its lifetime increases so does its lack of importance, due to the rising value of L and the inevitable decrease of P. THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE
AND THEY SPELL DISASTER FOR DOLPH ZIGGLER AT MAIN EVENT

Still, I hope they get them soon, as unlikely as it is.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Shield took the belts back at the PPV. It depends on how long they planned on using Goldust, but I don't see the Rhodes having a long term run.
