This along with Ken Patera was a great comeback story that unfortunately didn't pan out. They need more stories like this, even if it were kayfabe like Steamboat coming back for Savage. As someone mentioned Ron Bass carving up Beefcake's head-did they ever show that uncensored? Shame. His body just gave out on him

His body just gave out on him I was reading in the book "Munich 1972: Tragedy, Terror and Triumph at the Olympic Games" by David Clay Large, Ken Patera (even though his name was misspelled) was mentioned where he was quoted by saying "The only difference between me and (whatever the name of his top Soviet rival in weightlifting was) is that he can afford a better brand of steroids than I can." Then he brought up that if they were to meet up in Montreal 4 years later, he'd end up the winner. My opinion on Ken, a guy I absolutely hated when he helped Big John Studd cut Andre's hair, I think by 1987-88 he was just living off of his reputation.
