The big 4 returns during the 2002 Royal Rumble were Val Venis, Godfather, Mr. Perfect, & Goldust. I know Goldust was a part of WCW when they were bought and Mr. Perfect was a free agent at the time. What of the other two? I don't recall either of them being injured at the time. Where we're they during this time?

There were a lot of guys who were around at the beginning of the Invasion who just vanished because, with SO many people on the active roster, there was just nothing to do with them.
Venis had an injury to deal with. Godfather went off the road. Blackman went down to their Heartland Wrestling Association developmental camp, and eventually left the company while there. Same with Haku and Bossman, IIRC. Essa Rios went off the road and left. Grandmaster Sexay was fired trying to cross the Canadian border with drugs. TAKA was there for most of the Invasion, but left the company shortly before its end in November.

I believe Godfather actually appeared on Raw with a group of others the night after KotR as a bunch of guys trying to chase out WCW.
