The threads a couple weeks ago about Jindrak once being considered as a member for Evolution got me thinking about this. Was Jindrak's (very) shot run as "The Reflection of Perfection" supposed to prep him for Evolution? At the time I thought WWE was just trying to make Smackdown out to the young man's show since they were already building Cena there and had also moved Renee Dupree. If they were trying to give Jindrak some sort of a push to help prep him for being part of an elite stable, they could have done a better job; a retread of The Narcissist with Teddy Long as his manager for a bout a week and an intro feud with Shannon Moore to boot...not exactly what I'd consider the start of an epic career move.

No, that gimmick was near the end of the Evolution angle.

Forgive me, but I cannot even remember this "Mark Jindrak" fellow at all.

Speaking of which I was able to come across this theme: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fcpOcvPwkcSo his theme and Luger's were basically a remake/remix of this theme that Shawn Michaels rarely used before Sexy Boy? Forgive me, but I cannot even remember this "Mark Jindrak" fellow at all. Well neither did Taz when Jindrak entered the Rumble in 2005.

It's sad he never really clicked into place.
I was big on he and O'Haire in WCW and they both totally smacked into a wall in the WWE.
I don't know that someone billed as "the reflecton of perfection" was ever destined to take over the World, but it barely seems like he got a cup of coffee. He was around just long enough to make a video game roster.

I think his tag team with Lance Cade did more harm than his first singles run.

No, since this gimmick was in 2004 and Evolution had been around since 2002.
Teddy Long managed him briefly for this gimmick, then suddenly Long was made SD! GM and Jindrak was de-gimmicked & a bit later joined Angle's stable with Luther Reigns.

He also became a face after he knocked out Reigns with his left punch(or was it right?), I was wondering if that was going to be his gimmick had he stayed longer, knocking people out like the Big Show does, and would that get over?

Thanks for the clarification. I honestly could not remember the exact timing. Jindrak seems like a guy that WWE wanted to get over so badly but just never connected with the crowd.

I think his tag team with Lance Cade did more harm than his first singles run. I got agree. Neither guy had any chemistry with each and they had no purpose on RAW.

Him and Lance Cade were actually given quite a decent push in 2003 as a Face tag team then they turned heel which lead to them completly losing any momentium they had.

I remember a rumor that Cade and Jindrak would get a gay firefighter gimmick.
