da da da da da da daa da da daa
In like a violin type sound. I can't remember anything about them but the theme tune has been stuck in my head all day. I'm dying to know who it was.
They were a tag team. Two guys. Didn't really achieve much and got split up soon.

Well, The Dudebusters, Trent Baretta and Caylen Croft came out to something like that called the Semi-sweet symphony. Are you thinking of them?

That's it! The Dudebusters! I knew someone on here would know who I meant. It's been bugging me all day. Even knowing who the team is, I'm struggling to remember anything about them. Although I do remember Trent getting pinned by Drew after a superplex.

I think it's hilarious the OP gave next to no useful information to help out, yet the question was answered successfully within like 10 minutes on the first try.

Trent stayed on for like 2 years, then.

I knew they were around for a bit longer than what you thought, but I had to google it myself. Also, I loved Semisweet Symphony as their theme when they debuted. Every now and then when a channel screws up on DirecTV or when you switch to one of the alternate channels that rarely get used, you can hear that song.

And so we missed the epic feud between The Dudebusters and The Gatecrashers. Throw The Keymasters in there and a Rick Moranis cameo and you've got a new boom period.

I think Aiden English uses this theme in NXT now.

And then we had the moment where Trent? came out by himself, went to do the Dudebusters pose, looked behind him to see empty space and looked sad Remember when The Dudebusters were really self aware on their debut? Like saying "Didn't that dude used to be a pirate?" at Paul Burchill?

Off topic, but I still think they totally blew The Dudebusters gimmick. The video game obsessed guys,or an embrace of nerd culture, could've gotten way over. I think they could've achieved the success of Too Cool. My guess is some higher ups didnt get it.

Like saying "Didn't that dude used to be a pirate?" at Paul Burchill? I remember both of those. Especially loved the mentioned Trent? moment. I thought that was a really nice touch. Personally, I always thought eventually Trent? was going to get over by himself. Like there's no way it wasn't going to happen sooner or later. Unfortunately I was wrong about it because WWE never really gave him a chance. I thought he could have been pretty big time.

Trent was on a recent episode of NXT, I dunno if it was just a one-and-done-type appearance or if he's actually thinking about another run in the WWE...
But yeah. They had AJ Lee's gimmick before it was cool to be a nerd in the WWE. Like literally-- AJ and Kaitlyn even started calling themselves the Chickbusters after Croft was endeavored. Both Divas owe a lot of their success to Mr. Beretta.

That's why I hope/think Xavier Woods will succeed when he gets to the main roster, as he has a similar gimmick and an insane amount of charisma to get it over.
