The guy is 6'7, near 400 pounds, and moves around the ring at age 40 like Vader used to. He had great matches with Sheamus when he was able to wrestle his Japanese style. And he is apparently like the nicest guy in the world. Of course WWE deserves the lions share of the blame for putting him in a red speedo, putting tire marks over his face, and calling him Lord Tensai, But damnit I also blame all you and those who chanted 'Albert' as for ruining the Tensai gimmick His look now with the singlet, beard, and no tire marks is so much better, too bad he is probably stuck shuckin n jivin as part of 2 Fat Funks until he is eventually released.

The premise to Lord Tensai character was so 1993. Thank Yeezus it flopped.

Just my opinion but the guy has never put on a good match. There is a reason he has always found himself in the lower mid card. If he wasn't so big he would have no place in the business.
The Tensai gimmick was a comical failure. Lumbering around the ring like damn ninja. that failed push was the best thing that could have happened to him. At least he still has a job in jobber tag team that the kids like. reminiscent of the scotty 2 hotty tag team.

The gimmick itself was stupid, but having that snoozer of a debut match on a great post-Mania Raw didn't exactly start him off on the right foot.

If they let him wear the Albert pants he wore in his first run/when Tons of Funk first started, I wouldve liked him more.

He needed a different outfit-that red speedo made him look fat. He needs to wear face paint or a mask-the gimmick was dead when the audience recognized him. He needed to be allowed to use his style from Japan-lumbering around the ring using few moves made him slow and dull. He needed to debut on a different night-first match on the same night Lesnar returns was a guarantee to get overshadowed. He needs a good intro feud to stablished him with the audience-squashing random jobbers week after week is a formula for boredome.

He should've just came back as A-Train and been affiliated with Paul Heyman like he was in 2003.

He should have feuded with Sheamus after Bryan was done with him post Extreme Rules. They have pretty insane chemistry.

He should've just came back as A-Train and been affiliated with Paul Heyman like he was in 2003. Yeah if they would have just done it as "Hey look it's A-Train! We haven't seen him in a decade! He went to Japan and got good!" it would have been fine. Instead we got "Look at this clown who went to Japan and now thinks he's a Japanese stereotype" which has much less legs for the long run. Tensai's gimmick ruined the Tensai gimmick

They handled him awfully. I said at the time it was an example of how not to push someone.
At least he got some good matches with Sheamus.

The first time I saw him I was thinking the opposite of thread title in, "I wish this push will flop." For as much hate as Vince deserved for doing bad things I personally dislike him most for keeping on/or bringing back guys who, despite numerous push attempts, never get over. 1990s version would be Crush, 2000s version would be Tensai. Now some would see this as a nice, humane thing to do on Vince's part. As a wrestling/sports entertainment fan I can't stand it. It's great guys like Rikishi and Godfather got over huge in the Attitude Era but after how many attempts?

When he was in Japan, he did not act like he was Japanese.
He was pushed properly during his first run, and actually made it up to the IC title (back when it was the #2 title in the company).

He should've just came back as A-Train and been affiliated with Paul Heyman like he was in 2003. I was always hoping that year that after the Tensai flop and win Big Show winning the World title - they could of made Tensai become A-Train again and feud with Big Show.
