I will be honest, I do miss the activity of the E-Fed. I mean, I guess I notice it more is because unfortunetly I don't have much going on and everyone is busy, and that's fine of course. Real life is MUCH more important than a Fantasy wrestling league. So of course, its no ones fault for inactivity. I guess I've been reading too much past threads when I first joined up. In a life that's been filled with drama and depression, being able to write dramatic matches and write really vicious promos always seemed to be extremely therapeutic to me. And the anticipation for a weekly show or "ppv" was always kind of exciting. Especially to see my writing featured and hopefully be commented on. Plus to watch other's writing was always great. Now of course I disappeared twice, both times I extremely regret because now I'm reading shows/matches from the time periods I was gone and I really regret not being apart of that. Because, despite sometimes having difficulty in life participating....I loved WWCF/FAWA for being a place for a creative outlet...and to work with great people. And now I want to actively help FAWA become more active and hopefully new people come in and actually stick. Because I see a lot of potential in the roster thread...but not many people ever post here or promo. And it is kind of disheartening to write intense, vicious promos like I've always done...and not have many people respond to them. Long story short (too late). I want to help in anyway I help this place grow again. Because I honestly do love writing matches and promos and I love it when I get feedback and to collaborate with people. And I guess the inactivity can get disheartening. Sorry for the long message...I just needed to get it off my chest. Thank you. And I do appreciate your promos, which is why I reply to them if I can and if I have a reason to do so. And I do appreciate the responses....even though we aren't "Technically" feuding....yet. lol

......I'm Trying to find time to come back myself as well.... Finally calmed down a BIT on my end, and I think I've gotten a good balance going (Getting My Tabletop group to realize we don't need but one game a week has REALLY helped)

Lemme tell you all how you can get dat activity back up to the levels of WWE FAN
You all invest in a large amount of bitcoin. Use this bitcoin to hire thugs to kidnap current and former members loved ones. For every drop in activity, you mail them a piece of said loved ones skin.
Sound cool?

I honestly think what might help is deadlines for when matches can be sent in. As I stated before, we all have lives, so that is more important than FAWA stuff. But if it's possible to implement deadlines and maybe a set day a show is going to be posted, I think that might help bring productivity back. Because it shouldn't be two or more weeks in between shows. They need to be weekly. When I was here originally, the deadlines were generally pretty strict. And if someone couldn't do a match, either the main guy wrote it, or someone volunteered. THAT might be a problem since it seems there isn't many people around to volunteer when people fail on delivering matches on time (I'm not judging people on this, because I have been late on writing matches and have sometimes flat out never did write it for various reasons. So I'm not mad at people who do this) But deadlines definitely help.

Honestly things have been going down hill this entire year. Wheel of Misfortune got posted which honestly I think was the best show I've ever been involved in. Then Socko who was in charge dropped off the face of the earth so Connor Mackenzie took over and then he disappeared and Brawler took over got burned out and now I'm in charge because no one else would take the job. so it's just frustrating to me more than any body.

I've known about this place for a bit, and now that I've got some time on my hands, I'm interested in joining. I'm probably only gonna be able to do this until around August, but I've heard that you guys need some new blood and maybe I can help out. I'll be reading about rules and stuff, checking out the roster and current goings on, and I might write up a character tonight. Point is, I'm interested. When's the next show?

First of all....Welcome!!!! Second of all...yeah look at the rules and maybe even a little bit of the archives, just so you can get a feel on how things are done. We are waiting for the next show to be posted, I believe we still have a match still to write, hopefully that will be done soon. Usually the next show is booked right after the show is over. So yeah, you are welcome new blood. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I understand that completely. That's why I want to help out. Because I really do love this E-Fed as I said. And I hate to see it shrink this way. Its sort of way I've been trying to keep the promo thread on the front page, just so people will hopefully see that we aren't dead just yet. And I feel that we can get back to where it was a year or two ago.

I'm just pissed because I want to be more of a contributor like I had been when I started, but work has drained me of so much life that I can't put anything together anymore, good or bad.

I think you being here at all makes you a good contributor. Sometimes life gets in the way, I know that extremely well. I'd say do the very best you can. If you need me to write the World Title match, I will. Just send me the results when you can, and I can get it done either tonight or early in the morning.

TODAY WE HAVE A NEW THREAD SEGMENT.....
INSIDE THE VAULT!!!!
This is where I will give everyone reading a (hopefully) bi- daily taste of WWCF/FAWA history. This federation has had a long and storied past and it deserves to be relieved in the present, so it can be celebrated in the future.
Today we will be looking at a classic match from September 28th, 2009. Gookermania 2 to be exact.
We will be looking at the classic TABLES LADDERS AND CHAIRS MATCH...between two legends, Boiler Room Brawler and Aaron Enigma.
Lets turn back the clock....
Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match: Aaron Enigma V. Boiler Room Brawler
The following contest is a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match! Hanging above the ring will be the briefcase containing the final clue to the mystery of the Corporate trader!
*I'm So Bad(Baby I Just Don't Care)*
Introducing first, from Rockford, Illinois, weighing in at 350 pounds, The Boiler Room Brawler!
Boiler Room Brawler enters the arena, briefcase in hand, grinning at the crowd as it boos him.
He walks up the steps and enters over the second rope.
BRB hands the briefcase to the referee, but points a threatening finger in his face, as if to tell him not to do anything funny for this match.
BRB turns to face the Craptron as Aaron Enigma’s music hits the speakers.
*Take The Power Back*
And his opponent, currently residing in Chicago Illinois, he is the Head Detective, Aaron Enigma!
Aaron Enigma enters the arena, pointing his finger at BRB, indicating that this is it: no more bullcrap.
The crowd cheers for Aaron Enigma as he crosses the ramp and enters the ring.
Aaron Enigma and BRB go to opposite corners as the briefcase is attached to a suspension cord and is ascended above the ring.
The bell rings.
BRB and Aaron Enigma dart for each other, but Aaron Enigma ducks and rolls away from BRB.
BRB turns around and stops himself from darting forth again, and the two enter a standoff, waiting for each other to make a move.
Waiting…
Waiting…
Waiting…
Suddenly, both men run out of the ring as the crowd cheers.
BRB finds a foldup chair while Aaron Enigma goes for a ladder.
BRB runs over to Enigma as he folds up the ladder, but Enigma tips the ladder over so that it falls onto BRB, who falls down from the impact.
Enigma then picks the ladder back up and slides it into the ring, but BRB has gotten up soon enough as he runs behind Enigma and makes him fall with a chair shot to the back.
BRB grabs Enigma and slides him back into the ring, and then goes to the steps to enter the ring while Enigma gets back to his feet.
Enigma goes to punch BRB who retaliates as the two exchange blows until Enigma slams BRB’s head into the ring post, making him fall back outside.
Enigma grabs a chair and drops it over BRB, climbs the top rope, and does a Diving Knee Drop onto BRB’s back.
As the two men take a moment to recover, Enigma gets up and grabs the chair and swings it into BRB’s back.
Again,
And again,
And again.
Enigma then tosses the chair aside as he goes for the ladder again.
Enigma grabs the ladder and slides it into the ring, shortly sliding in as well.
He gets up, setting up the ladder as BRB walks back up the steps to enter the ring.
Enigma runs over to repeat the process, but this time BRB palm strikes Enigma in the face, knocking him down.
BRB climbs to the top rope and jumps off for a Top Rope Knee Stomp, but Enigma rolls out of the way in the nick of time.
BRB rolls onto his back from the shock to his knees as Aaron Enigma returns to this feet to mount BRB and barrage him with punches.
BRB manages to shove Aaron Enigma off of him as the two of them return to their feet.
The two size each other up again, but BRB cuts it short by tipping over the ladder and he exits the ring again.
Enigma is somewhat puzzled as BRB begins to set up a table, but he goes about setting up the ladder.
As BRB finishes setting up the table, Enigma is climbing the ladder.
BRB takes a folded table, slides it into the ring, but he grabs it, looks up at Enigma, who stops halfway up, realizing that BRB is up to something.
Aaron Enigma positions himself to leap off as BRB swings the table along the ring floor to knock over the ladder.
Enigma jumps to BRB, who backs up, catches Enigma, and Belly to Belly suplexes him through the table behind him, eliciting a “Holy s***! Holy s***!” chant from the crowd.
BRB grabs another table, and lines it up with the table in the ring.
He walks over to Aaron Enigma and stomps him to keep him down, then goes around the ring, grabbing a third table, folding it, and putting it into the ring, lining it up with the other two.
BRB returns to Aaron Enigma, grabbing him as he was returning to his feet and directing him to the ring, sliding him in.
BRB walks up the steps as Aaron Enigma returns to this feet.
Aaron Enigma runs up to deliver a Clothesline to BRB as BRB just crosses the second rope, knocking him into the turnbuckle.
Aaron Enigma grapples with BRB, props him up onto the ring post, and then tries to lift BRB.
The crowd begins rhythmically clapping,
Aaron Enigma tenses up to lift BRB
And Superplexes him onto the folded tables, collapsing from the strain.
The crowd is going crazy as the two men lay still, but slowly but surely they begin to return to their feet.
Aaron Enigma runs up to BRB, who lifts Aaron Enigma up to fall behind him, but Aaron Enigma uses the momentum for a running Neckbreaker that uses the ropes for extra impact as he lands outside and BRB collapses forward in the ring.
Aaron Enigma is up first, sliding back into the ring and setting up the ladder, but he realizes that he cannot get good grounding with the tables in the center of the ring.
Aaron Enigma consults the audience, who proceed to shout, “Use the tables! Use the tables!”
Aaron Enigma grabs the first table and unfolds it, but just as he finishes it explodes right in his face, breaking the table and shocking the audience.
BRB has his finger pointed at the table as he maliciously grins at the booing crowd.
He gets to his feet as the boos continue, pointing at Aaron Enigma and then at the briefcase.
He grabs Aaron Enigma and puts him onto the next table.
The crowd goes bananas as BRB lowers his finger towards Aaron Enigma on the table.
Just as the table explodes, Aaron Enigma rolls out of the way onto the next table,
BRB, shocked to have missed, lowers his finger again.
Aaron Enigma rolls over again onto an unfolded table outside of the ring.
BRB evilly smiles at the audience as the excitement builds to a fever pitch.
He lowers his finger again, but Aaron Enigma rolls onto the floor.
The crowd begins to chant, “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
BRB stomps around as they cheer, but he then grabs the ladder, kicks the table debris out of the way, and sets it up.
BRB takes his time climbing the ladder, grinning at the crowd, but Aaron Enigma returns to grab the ladder.
BRB begs Aaron Enigma not to flip it over, but Enigma goes to lift it and strains again.
BRB laughs at Aaron Enigma’s trouble and takes another cautious step up.
Aaron Enigma gestures for the crowd to cheer again, as he tries to lift the ladder again,
but it’s not enough this time as his injuries are taking their toll.
BRB laughs some more and takes yet another cautious step up, putting him in reach of the brief case.
As BRB tries to grab the briefcase, Aaron Enigma swings a chair into the ladder, rattling it.
BRB quickly clutches the ladder to maintain stability, but Aaron Enigma swings again.
BRB loses his footing and sprawls over the top of the ladder.
Aaron Enigma takes advantage of this better distributed weight and tips over the ladder. BRB crashes through the last unfolded table in front of the announcers’ tables.
The crowd is positively crazy, cheering like mad for Aaron Enigma to climb the ladder, but he exits the ring to finish BRB.
Aaron Enigma grabs a chair and unfolds it.
He helps BRB stand up, pokes him in the eyes, and then backs up.
As BRB stumbles forward for Aaron Enigma,
Enigma Toe Kicks BRB, grabs him,
Motions to the crowd,
And gives BRB the Brilliant Deduction right into the unfolded chair.
BRB lays there like a slug as Aaron Enigma climbs the ladder.
Aaron Enigma is to the top of the ladder and BRB does not so much as budge as Aaron Enigma unlatches the briefcase for the win.
Here is your winner, Aaron Enigma!
Aaron slowly climbs down the ladder and stands over the fallen Boiler Room Brawler. He looks out to the crowd and holds the briefcase high over his head. He points to the crowd and asks for a mic. He gets out of the ring and begins to speak while walking up the ramp, as EMTs go to check on BRB.
I have done it everyone. In this case, is The Power. I have successfully Taken The Power Back! And next week on Niteraw after I get a chance to review these files with the rest of my information, it's Case Closed on the Corporate Traitor. I would advise that whomever it may be takes some time this week to say some last words, because it will indeed be a long time before you'll be seen again, if ever.
Everyone believed in me through this. This win, and this case is dedicated to all you guys in the audience. Thanks for your support and your backing. I could not have done this without you. So when I announce the traitor next week, just remember that it was you that gave me the ability to Take The Power Back!
Aaron drops the mic and the crowd cheers even louder as he exits.
Aaron Enigma does it! The mystery of Corporate Traitor is almost at it’s end. Next week, we will finally know who it is.
Brawler didn’t make it easy, though.

Antihero mostly covered the problem with the deadline solution and there's more to it. When a deadline isn't met that means someone else must pick up the slack. When there's a cursed lack of writers that means it's the GM who gets to do it. Think of the creativity you put into one match a week. Now imagine having to tap into that more than once a week. Twice, maybe thrice. Maybe the whole f***ing card. It starts to feel like you're the only one keeping everything running - you walk away and the whole thing collapses. Nihilism sets in and the only thing keeping you from abandoning ship are the few people who try at all.
It sucks. Anyone who had been around long enough knows I've tried many solutions. There was precisely one key strategy that seemed to work while it was employed and it might be worth reusing because it got the shows running weekly and on time until I handed off the reigns IIRC.

Here's how it worked:
1) Book fewer matches. Like 1, maybe 2.
2) The GM writes the entrances and the finishes (based on vote results).
3) The GM hands the prewritten (but noncompulsory) material to another writer to connect point A to point B.
This works so long as you have volunteer writers. Never book as many matches as you have writers. Relief writing is a near guarantee, so book not just (writers -1) matches but at most (writers -2) matches. We have Smokey right here so that's one in. I lack the time to properly give such things the care that I like to give but maybe in the future.

Now here's a solution based on a suggestion for a hybrid e-fed of WWE: FAN Edition and FAWA:
I. GM posts entrances and voting goes live with a deadline set for hours later.
II. Voters are encouraged to vote by writing whole sequences rather than single moves. They embolden the name of their pick in the match but are encouraged to write for all contestants. They may post as many sequences as they want.
Anyone may post a vote as long as it meets the guidelines. ANYONE MAY POST A VOTE AS LONG AS IT MEETS THE GUIDELINES. ANYONE.
III. The real vote involves counting the Likes that each post receives. Liking your own posts doesn't count. ANYONE may Like a post and it will count.
IV. Once deadline is reached, the GM counts the votes and posts the finish.
To encourage creativity, a match could have hours upon hours to give ample opportunity for people to post their votes. Shows span the whole work week.
What say you all of this idea? I could manage a trial demonstration of this if there is interest.
