There's just something about that video package Monday night.
He's only been gone two months, it seemed so unneccesary, like anyone needed to be reminded Cena existed?
If he's ready to come back, why not last week or this week, cut a promo, try and pop a rating?
It just doesn't feel right, you know, like it can't possibly be that simple, something has to be up.

John Cena knows that the idea of John Cena is much more appealing than actual John Cena.

I've definitely been feeling that Cena may re-injure something in Del Rios finish, whether storyline or real life.

He's not gonna be back full time. He'll be a "special attraction" working a reduced schedule to allow for more rest.

I think it'll be a stand in but played like Bela Lugosi in Plan 9 and the lookalike will have his arm over his face the entire time with commentators playing it like he has to hold his arm like that for rehab

He'll come back, beat del Rio, survive Sandow's attempted cash-in, interject himself into the WWE Title match, win that, and leave again.

To be honest, WWE is hella' boring right now without Cena. But this whole video packaging and such is so unnecessary, they're acting like he's been gone for almost a year. But, the good news is he's going for a title that no one cares about. A title he probably doesn't even care about, I wonder what he's reaction was when they told him whenever he's ready to come back he'll have a championship shot straight away. I wish they either waited a little longer for his return though, despite the current main angle being so boring or he get's re-injured during the match and takes the appropriate time off.

And replays will show the real john Cena standing in a field....

I'm seriously thinking he turns heel at Hell in a Cell. I know, "Cena heel turn" has become a meme as of late, but given their current storyline, someone in the back may have realized the only way this can really come off the way they want it to is to have the actual face of the WWE as the main heel. Therefore, they hype his return as the return of a fallen hero, then SWERVE, he turns heel, takes the WWE Title from Daniel Bryan and becomes the face of the Corporation Authority.

I've assumed this from the second they announced his match with Del Rio. They're desperate for a good buyrate and can transition the title from heel Del Rio to heel Sandow through Cena.

Yeah, they're playing Cena's return ridiculously straight with those video packages and the "U Can't Stop Me" shirt. Maybe it's meant to be taken at face value, maybe not but I will say HBK betraying Daniel Bryan is awfully predictable and we all know how WWE just hates that (if you ignore every time they insert Big Show into an angle).

I could never stand Cena but this Bryan vs The Authority debacle of an angle has me so happy he's coming back. Those Cena video packages were hilarious. It's like WWE thinks he's been gone so long that there's all these new fans who don't know who he is.

He better not be. I want the Del Rio Reign of Boredom OVER with, and if anything Cena'll bring instant and sorely needed prestige to the WHC. Plus it seems like he'll be out of DBry's hair for the moment.

This reminds me of Punk’s return at Payback when everyone thought there had to be more to the story and he couldn’t possibly be coming back after only two months against an opponent he wasn’t even feuding with.
I assume he’s back full time. Didn’t they say in the videos he’s been medically cleared since October 4? I think he’s good to go. I’m almost surprised they gave him an extra 4 weeks off when they didn’t have to although I think it was smart of them to do so.

I hope not, unless he's winning the WHC and pissing off with it like Rock did with the WWE Title earlier this year. Cena as World Heavyweight Champion is best for business. Cena and the belt can keep each other out of the way. He stays in a relatively high spot on the card without overshadowing the whole show, and you can test new stars by having them feud with Cena. "The John Cena Belt" would be the new breakout star prize rather than a pointless paper title reign that means nothing. Cena would always retain, but if a young guy looks good in a feud with Cena, they can be considered for a possible WWE Title reign.
