Let's not get ahead of ourselves here and compare dolph anywhere near Ric Flair as an all around talent. Dolph is solid and all but he's into top tier in the world talent. To be perfectly honest, to me Dolph has always been one of those guys that's just kinda there. I mean he's good in the ring and a tremendous seller... but he just feels like he's missing something... and I'm fully aware that it could easily be the WWE's fault but I really can't point to a single promo or match that made me think that he could be this grand star that most of the internet seems to think. I mean it's kinda far back, but JBL did the whole Nazi thing in Germany which was a ton of heat and a couple of weeks later he became WWE champ. I thought he was already champ at that point. CM Punk had nuclear heat before one of his title wins from what I remember though. No JBL wasn't champ just yet at that point. I remember because that's the weak he lost his job on MSNBC and they made that into an angle that he guarantee to beat Eddie for the belt.

Yeah, I looked it up he won it in July and the Germany thing was in June. I was thinking he won it the first time against Eddie in May for some reason, but that match ended in DQ.

Did anyone else hear the fun recent "newz" story about how Ziggler and Big E. hate each other now, because someone saw them at the same gym but they didn't talk or make eye contact with each other?

I call bullshit on Ziggy having a bad attitude. Guy's always seem down to earth. If attitude was a thing to punish over then how Del Rio attacking an injured wrestler? Or Punk calling a fan fat repeatedly? Punk's displays of bad attitude are so over the top and unintentionally hilarious that I think WWE management just looks at him and goes " Oh, you."

A pedigree from HHH and a tadpole splash from Hornswoggle should straighten him out.

Because obviously, backstage heat is the only reason a performer with Ziggler's look, mic work, and overness wouldn't be pushed.

He's gone from world champ to repeatedly failing to win the US title in a span of 4-5 months. There's certainly a de-push going on here. I don't see anything on screen that says "hey this guy...he's getting pushed too hard, better knock him down a few notches." So, I'm inclined to believe this, even if it's unsourced newz it's the kind of stuff you can watch the show and read interviews and see happening as it happens. He's actually much better suited for the face role he's in right now, and they lost Cena and Sheamus to injury recently, so you'd think it would've helped him career-wise, but it hasn't at all. He's "failed" to win the US Title because he's been deemed "above" it. In WWE's mindset winning the US Title would be "tying him down". He's stuck in that stupid limbo where he's a "main eventer" but nowhere near the world title hunt, so he's directionless until it's "his turn" again. This is Ziggler's normal booking. He's the only guy I can think of who moved up the card by jobbing.

Just one more thing he does that reminds me of young Shawn Michaels.

If this was the case, Ziggler would've beaten Ambrose in non-title matches and not even bothered trying to win the title, like Randy Orton did with Cody Rhodes in 2011.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if this were true.

I feel sorry for the guy, he finally got what was supposed to be a proper world title reign earlier this year (that he worked incredibly hard to get), only to get a concussion. Then by the time he gets back he doesn't even get to prove himself with the reign, only for them to revert back to the boring status quo of ADR.
Sucks on so many levels, especially with one of the biggest pops of the current era when he won it. Did they just completely forget about that pop or just dont even identify it exists? The people obviously cared and were over the moon when he finally reached it.

Otherwise they wouldn't have done the double turn, Del Rio would still be a face and Ziggler would still be a heel.

And if someone they really like doesn't get a crowd reaction, they pretend it doesn't matter.

I just can't help but wonder how it would have gone if he didn't get the concussion

This is a man who was too athletic during sex. He needs to be a main eventer like yesterday.

Punk I can understand, but I don't know what Del Rio's done to earn that spot. it's only rumours and conjecture, but I've heard that he's a lot like 1997 Shawn Michaels where he keeps threatening to quit unless they give him a title run. WWE's still convinced he'll be the next Eddie Guerrerro so they tend to capitulate. that's why the WHC keeps going back to him. allegedly.
