I'm a huge fan of Dolph's ring work. He can sell like mad & showed the ability to be a great storyteller in the match with Del Rio with the double turn.
His promos were good as a heel, but I stress good. Vickie & AJ got him plenty of heat. His face promos have not been memorable. His character is pretty much the same guy, but "showing off" against heels instead of faces.
I have no idea if saying Randy Orton "making him sick" is tied to his depush. The thing is, if you are going to make ballsy comments about guys who the promotion is behind, you better be able to make yourself pretty indispensable.

Dolph Ziggler is a great talent, but I don't know, he really isn't some guy who I'm excited to watch like bryan or cesaro for example

To think this was the same guy who beat John Cena in the Main Event of a Pay Per View last year...in the last seconds of Raw in 2012, Cena and Ziggler had a promo on what their year in 2013 will be like. Sad to see what happened to Dolph Ziggler recently. I guess they see Dolph Ziggler as a B+ player who may as well pushed as an F player currently. A Mr Perfect type of guy to make others look good.

Punk I can understand, but I don't know what Del Rio's done to earn that spot. it's only rumours and conjecture, but I've heard that he's a lot like 1997 Shawn Michaels where he keeps threatening to quit unless they give him a title run. WWE's still convinced he'll be the next Eddie Guerrerro so they tend to capitulate. that's why the WHC keeps going back to him. allegedly. Yeah, that's what I remember reading too about ADR. I think the news (newz) I read was that Del Rio didn't want to stay long term and WWE wants him for the latino audience or something so they give him everything you can give a guy to get over (Royal Rumble, WHC runs over and over).

If I was Ziggler, I'd accept that I'll never be pushed, but I'd just jump through whatever hoops the carnies who run WWE put in my path, do the jobs, and get my paycheque. I'd also do it half-assed and not risk any injury in the process by giving beyond the minimum required to earn my money. I'd then save all that money and retire early. It's a much better approach than trying to figure out the fickle whims of WWE management. WWE have already shown through AJ (who actually cares about the belt she carries) and Miz (who, as far as I'm aware worked his ass off doing PR appearances for the company) that paradoxically the more passion you show for the business, the more they hold you in disdain.

It's a travesty he's not main eventing at this point, and if they ever fire him I'll probably quit watching. Such a waste.

From the looks of things, Ziggler may actually be doing that. While he still bumps like a champ, there's been a noticeable drop off in the amount of bumping he does. Logic dictates that, as a babyface with a poor win/loss record, he should be bumping more. You make a good point about AJ and Miz as well. It seems like the more passion you have, the more you're seen as a mark and looked down upon. If you treat it like a business and act accordingly, then you've got a "bad attitude" because you're only out for yourself.

It seems like the more passion you have, the more you're seen as a mark and looked down upon. This is absolutely 100% true, at least in respect to non-wrestlers. They'd prefer to hire non-fans in production and creative especially. They look at these types as "clean slates" that they can mold into WWE automatons. It would make a lot of sense if it goes down to the talent, but on the other hand you have people like Punk, who also take great interest in the way their careers are portrayed and that interest is partially what got him his monster push in 2011. This "newz" about Ziggler is not exactly far fetched, considering the guy was getting pushed up until his injury/"break up" with AJ. Since that time, he's basically mid-card fodder and nowhere near the main event when he clearly has the talent and the WWE needs new stars desperately.

I usually don't buy into this bullshit, but Dolphs push was sidelined pretty hard after those comments about Orton. Now that could be pure coincidence and such, but still the events coincide. That would be insane. He actually put Orton over in that interview. Also it seemed to be in-character.

It's funny, I've seen shoots from wrestlers who know Carlito, and it drove them nuts that no matter how they "punished" him for his heat he just didn't care. Basically he knew it was a job so no matter what he was getting paid, and if they released him he'd be happy because he'd get to go do what he wanted to do and work in Puerto Rico. I don't think Dolph is exactly the same as I'm sure he loves the WWE, but I'm sure he just wants to go out and wrestle. So if his choices are go out on tv every week wrestle and lose, or get released and go make money elsewhere while wrestling, I'm sure he's not going to care about heat.

Whenever he is in his hometown, Cleveland, he does interviews with ESPN 850 WKNR. The host, Tony Rizzo is the son of Jack Reynolds (Rizzo) who did some work for WWWF in the '70s and '80s. Rizzo is smart enough to ask the right questions, and, every time DZ is on his show, he has been open and honest. Maybe it's because it's the hometown and he feels more comfortable, but he has never said anything untoward about The E. He's expressed disappointment, but not on a "nuclear" scale. Every comment was always followed with "I'm-going-to-get-back-on-track" or "I-love-my-job". He's even talked about "dating" A.J.
The wrestletaint interview was stupid, even in jest. It's probably worth avoiding "smarky" interviews.

Heatz? So, he should win the WWE title soon.
