For the past year we've had the privilege of watching wrestling every Wednesday night thanks to ION Television. We are truely blessed to live in an era where we have wrestling to watch 4, sometimes 5, nights per week. Our forefathers maybe got wrestling on TV one night per week. As you're watching Main Event tonight take a moment to reflect on how lucky you are. God Bless.

I usually watch it even though it's supplementary and non-essential. Sometimes you can find WWE and the talents be a little experimental on these shows, testing things out before they try them on Raw/PPV. Sometimes they'll try out a new finisher, entrance attire, ring attire, or something.

I didn't know it was on ION until I read this post. Now I have it on.

I never thought I'd hear someone celebrating that WWE Main Event exists.
I really don't think much of it, it's pretty much the third hour of Smackdown except it's aired on a different night.
But I am thankful I have NXT to watch in the morning.

It was better when it first started and they'd have one long match to start off that was the star match, and then a secondary, shorter match to close.
Now all the of the matches are more evened out, and the quality isn't as good. Still and entertaining hour of WWE.

As long as the opening match still features fairly high ranking talent, like The Shield, Ziggler, etc. it's fine.

I wonder how Main Event is doing on ION Television ratings-wise?

I wonder how Main Event is doing on ION Television ratings-wise? If I'm not mistaken, it's doing a 1.3 on a regular basis (although ratings haven't been released in a while), so it's one of ION's top rated shows.

Main event is pretty cool, I haven't checked it out the last few weeks but for a while you were almost guaranteed to see Big E. and Cesaro in action.

Has it only been a year? It feels like longer to me... Same here, but then I realize I am just remembering Superstars on WGN.

Main Event is the most consistent wrestling show in the business right now. Out of it's roughly 42 minutes you'll get 35 minutes of wrestling. And it's normally good midcard matches UN-tainted by the likes of stale main-storyline crap.
No Cenas, no Ortons
It's Mid-Card Heaven. Kinda like WCW Saturday Night

It needs more standout matches. The show is slowly descending into filler, with an exception here and there.
