I hate the idea that the six sided ring will result in a better show.

This is a company that changes plans daily. For them to be suggesting a return of the 6-sides in 2015 could easily be changed by then.
Would be a good way to go though in my opinion. AJ should demands it back on Impact as one of his demands to Dixie.

2015? Who schedules events almost two years from now? I call BS.

Was the 6 sided ring ever taken on the road? Maybe the last time TNA ran this venue they had the 6 sided ring and this was the only seating chart available to the arena's website.

I hate the idea that the six sided ring will result in a better show. Well, TNA was a better show when they had six-sides. Made them unique and not a WWE ripoff. But yeah, just adding six sides wont be enough. The company will need a whole new makeover as TNA now is just synonymous with bad wrestling show these days.

This'll lead to the big new angle.
Hulk's been gone for two years, he's WWE now.
Trying to put things back on track, they've gone six sides. THIS IS WRESTLING WHERE WRESTLING MATTERS AND WRESTLING banners are brighter than ever. This is the relaunch, this is it!
They reveal the better than ever ring of six sides to a huge ovation. The crowd goes wild.
Abyss takes to the ring only to do a big splash into the middle and rip the canvas open. But he does not reappear.
The arena goes dark for a moment before we hear "LET ME TELL YA ABOUT SIX SIDES" and the lights go back up to reveal Hogan climbing from the Abyss to launch into his finest "IT ONLY GOT YOU SO FAR" speech, before proclaiming that "FOUR SIDES WILL TAKE THIS COMPANY ON A ROCKET SHIP TO THE TOP".
TNA! TNA! TNA!

I liked the six sided ring because it made them look a bit different to other wrestling companies. But honestly it's abckstage that needs an overhaul, not the ring. New bookers and, after BFG, definitely some new road agents.

The six sided ring is just a symbol of the days when TNA was enjoyable. It wasn't the reason TNA was enjoyable. People want it back because of its symbolic significance but if its brought back without a change to management it won't do shit.

If it was for a show in 2 weeks there would be doubts if TNA will last that long or whether the show is going to be cancelled. But 2015? Yeah, ok.

It would be like WWE trying to respond to slumping ratings by changing Raw's ropes back to red instead of making the show better.

Even though I would welcome the six sided ring back, it is kind of redundant without the wrestlers to work in it.

It would be one thing if you said 2014 but 2015? People are worried if there will be a TNA in the next 6 months yet alone 2 years from now. While people want the 6 sided ring back, they want that feeling of excitement and fun TNA had during that time. People want the TNA that tried to be an alternative not the one that is a lesser WWE at all levels.

I don't think it will happen as bringing back the six sided ring would be openly admitting that the Bischoff/Hogan regime failed, something I don't think will happen while Eric is still employed in the company. I do think it's a good idea however, provided they fix some of the alleged problems with it, as it's a step toward giving TNA a unique identity, where it isn't directly competing with WWE by producing a product that looks like a knockoff and starts producing a brand of its own.
They're never going to be the WWE and the time where they could step into WCW or ECW's shoes has passed, history has shown that they were at their most successful when they started to try to be something original, gave the audience things they couldn't get from the WWE and they need to do what they can to get back there and this time around, try building on it, rather than throwing it out the window for the next big gimmick.

Yeah, its the same thing as hiring Hogan, Hall, X-Pac, etc, - while they were good during the time they were really popular, bringing them in now just comes off as sad and desperate.
I do miss it though. If they pull their heads out of their asses and get the product back on track I'd like them to bring it back as part of a reboot, but not just because they're scrambling for things that work.
