It would be one thing if you said 2014 but 2015? People are worried if there will be a TNA in the next 6 months yet alone 2 years from now. While people want the 6 sided ring back, they want that feeling of excitement and fun TNA had during that time. People want the TNA that tried to be an alternative not the one that is a lesser WWE at all levels. Who is worried? A lot of people are like TNA wrestlers who recognize the company is going through critical changes and said so in interviews. You know, the guys who got a lot more riding on the success or failure of TNA the next couple of months.

I don't remember "TNA is Dying!" chat being at a fever pitch like this before and this point, I have to agree. They're not looking good, the quality of the angles is somehow going even farther down, and they can't even draw second level seating for their Wrestlef***ingmania. I'm sorry if I sound negative or like a prick but honestly, you can't look at the last six of TNA decision and think "Oh, well that's a healthy company that's not having problems at all." I know the popular argument is "Well Spike must be okay with the ratings, they're the highest rated program they have!" but what is Spike gonna do when Bob and Janice find a better venture to lose money for tax purposes?

I only want the 6 sided ring back if they bring Hogan back to feud with it.

You know, the guys who got a lot more riding on the success or failure of TNA the next couple of months. Cannot forget Kurt Angle saying this after getting out of rehab: On what it’s like coming back to TNA after a lengthy absence: “There was a lot of uncertainty. Thank God the company is still going. They’re still kicking it in high gear, but hearing about the changes from the outside in looked a little scary. But once I got to TV last week everybody is still giving their highest performance and doing the best that they can. Everybody is working hard. We need to unite as one and try to make this a better product. I think we have done that the last month or two. I love the Dixie heel turn. I think that was awesome. It comes down to the writers in creative and the wrestlers really coming together and making it a full team effort.”

Not to mention networks have cancelled their top rated Wrestling shows in the past... WCW Nitro and WWE Smackdown on CW for instance.

A number of wrestlers are addressing the elephant in the room as truthful as they can do without pissing off management.

The six sided ring is just a symbol of the days when TNA was enjoyable. It wasn't the reason TNA was enjoyable. People want it back because of its symbolic significance but if its brought back without a change to management it won't do shit. This. It would be like WWE trying to respond to slumping ratings by changing Raw's ropes back to red instead of making the show better. It's like a kid who swear the sandwich tastes better if you cut it into little triangles (it does!).

2015? Who schedules events almost two years from now? I call BS. It doesn't make any sense at all. Also the location is crazy because they had to cancel both house shows in Kansas earlier this month so it's not a market they know they can rely on to be there 2 years in the future.

NOW is truly the time to put up or shut up. Hogan was wrong about the previous time being that time(yes shocker).

I think I figured out what this 2015 show is all about. It's not an actual TNA show, but a TNA Reunion show.
Think about it, from TNA's inception what has been this companies driving force? From its initial attempts to appeal to displaced WCW fans, to its many attempts at recreating the nWo, to its signing of any Attitude era talent that's willing to work for them, to its not-ECW tribute PPV? NOSTALGIA!
The thing is while nostalgia has given them the occasional short-term bump, it has never afforded them any real long-term profit or growth. So TNA has figured out the best way to get something long term out of it is to get people nostalgic for TNA itself. So after the next set of tapings the company closes down and then... they wait. Wait until the nostalgia kicks in, wait until somebody, someone, somewhere, for some reason, says "you know I kinda miss TNA". Then they strike.
They announce by popular fan demand TNA will be returning one night only in 2015 for a reunion special, live from Kansas City. They even bring back the six-sided ring to really ramp up that nostalgic feeling. And when the show is a moderate success (they manage to pay off that pizza oven they rented from Ian Rotten) they announce they're bringing back the company full time on its new television home of Eternal Word Television Network at 2AM.

Can we confirm it's scheduled for 2015? If not, then it has to be false. Apart from a flagship event, no one books that far in advance.

It's all a swerve. It will be the debut of the new 7 sided ring.

It's gonna be a return to basics, a return to the origins. Naked grapplers inside of an actual circle in the dirt.

Yeah, bring back the extra-stiff ring, while not paying medical bills incurred in said ring...Brilliant. Nobody but Monty Brown even used it any differently, and he hasn't been employed there in many years. Not to mention it looks rather bush league.
