coming from?
Like I get it's a wish and all, but for couple of months there have been post after post talking about/assuming it's happening.
Has there been ANY inkling of this even being on the radar screen?
Like why now are people thinking this has a chance of going down?

Before they unify the WHC and WWE title I hope Cody Rhodes gets a grab of the WHC just because his dad held the same title.

It's coming from the same people who believe Sting vs The Undertaker is happening at Wrestlemania.

People who want title unification take any hint to mean it's definitely going to happen.

It's coming from the same people who believe Sting vs The Undertaker is happening at Wrestlemania. Clearly they are the only 2 men who can unify the titles!!!!

Because there's no other real reason for John Cena to be WHC, and I can't see him winning the title just for them to go back to giving it to midcarders.
Even if there is no unification, I can see the belt being quietly retired. Like Cena being written off of TV with the belt and coming back without it.

The golden boy heel and the golden boy face are the champs. Now Super Cena can take down the evil corporation and become the grand master champion of the universe. I'm not sure if they're planning it or not but I won't be shocked if they do.

It's no different than any other predictions that come out of these forums.
I don't know why this one in particular needs to be mocked.

Not really mocking it per se, I'm legitimately just curious of why it's gaining traction NOW, as something that's likely. Ok, Cena has the WHC, but he's carried that three times before, and to be honest, that smacks way more of them hitting the panic button and try and get him back on shows than it does anything else.

For me it's the 2005 hype of "Cena/Orton is THE FUTURE" that just seems so...unavoidable. Cena is going to "restore honor" to the WHC, so he will have that for a good while. He's got his "moral purpose" bit, and those always lead to long runs. Orton is the stand in for Trips, and is part of the whole upcoming McMahon storyline where they'll feud over everything. I'm seeing another Battle of the Billionaires bit, and who will Vince pick as his stand in? D-Bry or Cena? D-Bry needs it and makes sense at the moment, but it's 'Mania. I expect Cena as Vince's proxy, which means either he or Orton has to lose the title. Cena won't, and Orton needs it to keep the heat on the Facgime, or some such nonsense. Hell, as much as I think it'd be a mistake, I see them unifying it, having Cena win the thing for the "Mania Moment" part 907, then running the poor man into the ground by doing double duty.

Cena's got the second-tier world title. I guess he's holding it down to keep him away from the main storyline, much like how they had CM Punk distracted with Paul Heyman. Which leads to me wondering whether or not CM Punk and Orton begin a feud tonight now with Heyman presumably out of the picture after last night.
Or they do the whole Big Show's lawyers found a loophole in Big Show's contract which forces the WWE to honor his contract and give him a world title match. Which is what I fear (and expect) them to do.

As for why they would want that, I have no idea.

My thinking is based on two things:
1) The WWE love Orton/Cena. (NOTE: I don't see a problem with that, they're both very good) Remember that time they tried to get the crowd to pop at the Royal Rumble, twice?
2) I'm still living in hope that they think Bryan is THE GUY. If that's the case, in my ideal world we have Orton and Cena unify the titles in December/January before Bryan swoops in at Mania to pick up the torch.
