I didn't play it, but didn't the last original story involve Triple H burying the entire roster? He won like all the championships, including the tag titles.

I'm still holding out for a "My Player" type mode like NBA 2k has, but for WWE, where you work your way to the top from "indies" to NXT to house shows to bottom of the Raw/SD card all the way to main eventing Wrestlemania, and they throw in storylines in there as well (such as you have to pick the right lines in a promo, or do the right action as a face or heel, like the post game interviews in NBA to raise your fan popularity, company trust, and locker room relationships) to build your wrestler for a certain time period, like maybe 15-20 years or so. Hell they could even throw a fake twitter in it like NBA has.
I would LOVE that!

I loved Raw 2 story/season mode especially how u can become undisputed champ (2 belt version) And no matter what you did it had little to no effect on the booking My friend had his guy attack Goldberg at every opportunity every show.... And they never got booked against each other... In fact the only time they were put in a match together they won the tag titles

Some ideas...
- AJ builds a time machine, goes back into WWE history and wrestles all the greatest women in their primes, beating all of them
- Randy Orton becomes self-aware and realises he is in a video game. He uses this knowledge to reshape the game according to his desires
- Mid-way through story mode, a ripple in the space-time continuum changes everything. It then becomes WCW 2K15. For an idea of what I'm talking about, watch that episode of Next Generation when the older Enterprise comes through the time portal and everything on Picard's bridge turns dark and sinister immediately.
- John Cena experiences a crisis of confidence after finally breaking after a particularly hostile reception in a smark town. The game changes into a Red Dead Redemption-like open world where Cena roams across America like that guy in Kung Fu, helping people and having adventures in an effort to discover himself and his place in the world.
- HHH goes into the future and finds Gray's Sports Almanac. He then travels into the past and replaces Vince McMahon Senior, becoming Vince's McMahon's FATHER!

Not until they make us relive Alliance Era because yeah, it'd be dope.

Prett much. I'm sick of the lets replay AE or WM and that's all. No variation, everything predetermined, and pretty bland for most part. I don't give two shits about WM 1 - 25ish, because I play for the modern day WWE not to replay YouTube clips of historic moments wrapped in subpar graphics.
As much as RTWM sucked in comparison to older season modes, it's so great in comp. with AE mode or 30 yrs of WM.

I'd be fine with that, but what I really want out of a wrestling game is something a bit different and I guess more old-school: I just want a career mode where you choose any wrestler you want, and take him through an indefinite career, working your way up and down the card, fighting for championships, winning and losing them...something like what Raw 2 and Smackdown 2 had. Little non-voiced promos here and there, etc. Universe mode is KIND of like that, but yeah, not quite what I'm looking for. EDIT: Oh hey, injustice45 beat me to it. Glad I'm not the only one looking for something like that. That's basically what I already do with the Universe mode. Been using the same CAW the past three years, he's just evolved drastically over time. Though 13 was probably the worst for this as Universe was especially broken this time around, I'd have random stretches of not being booked for 6 months despite being a top guy.

I didn't play it, but didn't the last original story involve Triple H burying the entire roster? He won like all the championships, including the tag titles. So instead a real past storyline, it's a real future one.

That's exactly why it doesn't work for me. Just...stuff like that. It did that to me even back when it was originally introduced. I want something where I'm at least guaranteed a match every week. And something with a little bit more consistency as far as booking goes. Feuds don't seem to matter in Universe at all. I like the idea behind it, but it's just so damn buggy.
