I know it's coming. So here's a little space for everyone to fret, show concern, and complain about him being dropped into the midcard in favor of an Orton/Big Show thread "that no one asked for" as much as folks want.
Me, personally? I have no issue with the Bryan/Punk/Wyatt program. They've got a great gimmick going, and they're going against two of the most protected people in the company now. IMO, this is not a demotion for Punk/Bryan by any means, rather an elevation for the Wyatts.
I don't say that out of "wait and see, it might get good", because to me, it's already gotten good. To be honest, Orton really shouldn't have dropped the title to Bryan in the first place, it was that teased second Bryan reign that I think truly rankled his fans. Without that, I think the angle would be a lot better received.

I'll be going ahead and deleting my thread, then...
But yeah, I'm convinced Bryan's time as a main event guy is over with, and that making Michaels tap is the best win over Triple H he's going to get.

I could post an img of a stop sign and lock the thread, as that'd be the most apt description of his momentum.
Doesn't even have inertia

The second biggest heels on the roster excluding the kliq were Ryback and Axel...so the wwe needed to promote some heels so the Wyatts will fill the gap and get the promotion.

Plain and simple, you don't book an entire angle and three PPVs off of an angle wherein the guy running the company says that the face isn't good enough to hold the belt and does everything he can to keep it off him, and then never let the face have his victory. By mixing in all of the real life stuff and all the matters of it being a matter for THIS BUSINESS, and then not following through, it gives the impression that they legitimately don't think he is worthy of holding the title, but felt like dangling a carrot in front of him and, by extension, the audience, until giving him an anticlimactic defeat. Giving him a whole commercial break before carting him off to another feud is just proof of that.

Daniel Bryan will win the Royal Rumble and beat Orton at Wrestlemania for the WWE Title.

I don't see this feud as a demotion for Bryan per se. I do see it as elevation for the Wyatt's. But I don't see why the Wyatt Family needs to be pushed so hard. Why does WWE have to try to make every new person into a big deal fairly quick by having them run through all of the main eventers instead of having them actually working in the midcard/tag division against actual midcarders and working their way up?

I saw this coming. They're going to keep Bryan out of the title picture for a while and try and use his momentum to help get some other guys over. Come Royal Rumble/Wrestlemania time I would expect him to be back in the title picture. It's not like the fans are going to stop chanting for him any time soon. They have a nice chance to slow burn this a little. While Bryan has won the WWE title before, he hasn't yet had the chance to enjoy it, which the fans will be clamoring for come Wrestlemania.

What WOULD cause you to have concern for the angle, especially considering it's when he just so happens to not be "your" guy?
It's just a little weird to look at "I'm not concerned about a demotion" from the same person talking two months ago about how it's such a travesty that John Cena's legacy may not be spotless unless we drop him in a major heroic angle role.
Put me in the "wait and see" column especially since I think this is a build to a Survivor Series overarching story with the Authority and the Wyatts in their pocket anyway.

There isn't any. He could be the star of the company right now, but it's between orton and the f***ing Big Show.

Yeah I mean, that's like saying Orndorff was demoted from Wrestlemania to Wrestlemania II. At Wrestlemania he was on last, at WM II he was on first. Who's number one? Who's number one? Paul Orndorff, that's who!

He'll settle into the Punk/Jericho area and float between upper midcard and main event as needed once this thing is sorted out. It's not a terrible place to be. If nothing else he beat Cena clean before it all went to hell.

I'll say this. I don't think Bryan's time as a main eventer is over, mostly because he won the WWE Title and nowadays that actually means something (not like winning the WHC, which means shit really). He'll do the Jericho/Angle thing where they were upper midcarders who got plugged into the main event scene when needed and win WWE titles and have awesome feuds and matches and such.
But anybody thinking he was going THE GUY to replace Cena...yeah, that was never going to happen. Ever. It's the same with Punk and Sheamus, they're not going the be THE GUY. That's a pipe dream and expectation I know isn't coming true and never actually thought was going to happen. Nobody's touching that spot until NXT Guy Bo Dallas or Sami Zayn or whoever makes their way up. I guarantee that.

I agree, Orton shouldn't have dropped the belt back to DB, because he shouldn't have held it to begin with.

Making Shawn Michaels tap is a pretty clear indication that his work with Triple H is still in the picture as far as Daniel Bryan goes, I don't think it's as cut and dry to say there's zero chance of that. I think Daniel Bryan is every bit the main eventer now that CM Punk is right now.

Dude got his chance, but couldn't even start a new boom period. What an incapable! Hopefully Cena, Orton and Trips will take care of business while the 2 failures get lost in the midcard.
