At the rate their going now, with the whole relying on the older guys to draw the big buy rate for Mania & not building new stars who will they have a few years from now to be in the main event scene?
Cena I'm sure will still be around, but I think by that time he'll be on his very last legs at 41-42 years old. No way will his body be able to handle the work load he does now in 5 years.
Punk I think will be retired or just a part time guy at that time. He'll be 40 years old in 5 years, and he doesn't seem like the type of guy who will overstay his welcome.
Orton is someone who will still be around unless he screws up again. He'll only be 38 by then, so he'd still have quite awhile to go yet even by then.
Sheamus is already almost 36, and isn't a big enough draw to be a main guy.
Vince clearly doesn't see Bryan as a money guy since he's booked him like absolute shit when Cena was gone. He'll stay in upper-mid card/occasional main eventer similar to how Chris Jericho was I think.
Than you got the older talent like Henry, Christian, & Kane who will be gone. The Big Show supposedly signed a long term deal recently, so he'll be around yet.
Than you got the older guys who they won't be able to rely on anymore come Mania time. Taker will be 53 years old & definitely retired by then. The Rock is probably done already or has 1 match left in him now. Brock said he only wants to wrestle a few more years in his part time role. Only Jericho & Triple H I could see coming back to wrestle matches yet. But their not big enough draws alone at this point.
Of the newer talent they have the only ones I can see being major players are Reigns & Ambrose. They clearly have no faith in Ziggler, Ryback, Barrett, Cesaro or Cody as lead talent.
So what will they do?

Roman Reigns as the face of the company, and Ambrose as the top heel.

So...Bryan being booked as the focus of the show and looking strong in the absence of Cena is being booked like absolute shit? Man, I'd hate to have your standards.
Beyond that, as much as I don't want to agree with all of that...you're probably right about most of it, unless things change dramatically.

Five years from now?
Cena or Orton top the card with the members of the Shield, Cody, one or maybe both of the Harper and Rowan in the upper/mid card area. D-Bry I see as a Jake Roberts, midcard who can main event when needed but is used as a foil.
The rest of the roster is either in developmental or hasn't signed yet.
Oh, and I see Trips and Big Show rolling into once a year Taker type roles, Show being Andre and jobbing and Trips being Taker and getting an annual hero's welcome.

John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, The Big Show, Kane, Jericho, and Alberto Del Rio. This. Pretty much anything else is being unrealistic.

Sheamus will be the new Kane. The guy credible enough to main event but floats around the upper midcard.
I hope Brodus Clay gets a push and becomes the new top monster like Big Show.

This story line he's been in has been booked to absolute shit. He never even won the title officially, and they basically took away his big moment already. So now when/if he even does actually win the title, it won't have the same impact anymore. Now Cena is back for 2 days, and already has been made to look way better than Bryan has in the 2 months that Cena was gone. Cena is world champ, and had an injured arm & still won. Bryan hasn't won the title, got sweet chin music by HBK, pinned by Orton, & taken out by Wyatt. Now it seems Big Show took his spot in this feud too.

John Cena.
ok partial kidding aside, the honest answer is "I don't know". I say that because I never would've predicted in 2008 that other than John Cena, the 2 biggest babyfaces in the company would be CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. in fact, if you told me that I'd be signing the papers to put you away.

I think Dean Ambrose can be a top psycho Orton-esq character but to be honest, I feel that the top of the roster will still be very familiar. Of course, I expect Cena & HHH to have had a few more WWE title reigns shared between them along the way and the Undertaker will still be feuding/tagging with Kane.

Cena and Orton. I'm not even trying to be snarky, I literally can't imagine anyone else being a top player at this point.

I dunno, from what I watched, he always seemed to be booked on top, and the only reason he was losing was because of interference or odds stacked against him. Like Hell in a Cell. He would've had the match had he not been screwed over. But eh, I guess everyone sees things differently. I still think his time is coming, and relatively soon.

John Cena made of steel, after sustaining multiple injuries throughout the 5 years, McMahon decided to make 90% steel. This is a build up to his TLC match with Flair at Mania 50, which is announced at WM 34.

This Bryan being booked to look like shit thing makes no sense to me. He's looked COMPLETELY unbeatable, and the only reason he isn't champ is because of shenaniganz. No one's looked stronger. Sure, he's not holding the gold, but come match time, it appears no on can win against him unless the referee is crooked or there's interference.
