So can anyone think of any examples, of now or in the past, when commentators seemed to root for wrestlers for no real reason? Or just plain hate them?
Obvious examples are J.R marking for Austin or Cole and the Miz.
Recently, JBL's clear favourites are Del Rio and The Shield, and Lawler seems more into Fandango than any other wrestler.
Anyone think of any other examples?

Right now, JBL always seems really high on Rowan and Harper, and in spite of leaning towards heels, he's always been big on Sheamus too. I think he just likes big brawlers who remind him of himself.

JBL hasn't liked AJ since she joined the three stooges on commentary. Before that, he was kind of a fan.

Anyone think of any other examples? The most striking part of J.R marking for Austin was just after Austin walked out in 2002. Rock returned and started ripping on Austin about taking his ball and going home. To this day I always found it remarkable at how silent J.R remained even when King was trying to rouse a response from him. Are as as others go...JBL likes to go against the grain for one.

Has there ever been any newz about Austin's reaction to Rock's promo, or Rock's willingness to do it? They seem to have been on great terms after Austin's last match but that must have caused some friction.

Some obvious examples are Heenan hating Hogan, JBL bashing The Miz, Cole hating Bryan & King dispising Bret Hart.
Also JBL LOVED Hornswoggle back in 2006, when Horny was a heel obviously.

JBL seems to loathe Big Show at the moment, though that may be because he's a complete Authority shill. Michael Cole is thankfully neutral (as a play-by-play should be!).

I always remember Tazz hyping up Kurt Angle more than anyone, and always getting really hyped up about his matches.
