The state of everyone before Summerslam
John Cena is the WWE champion, however he also needs to take time off. Daniel Bryan is the challenger who's never been WWE Champion. HHH is the unbiased referee. Randy Orton has the Raw MITB briefcase.

Porbably the exact same one WWE did, except without the "Cena's not a wrestler" crap.

Porbably the exact same one WWE did, except without the "Cena's not a wrestler" crap. Exactly. This feud should've been John Cena and Daniel Bryan vs. The World. Two fan favorites who want to put on a dream match for the WWE Universe only for WWE management constantly trying to stop the match from happening Oh, and Bryan should've gone through with the Corporate makeover.

Go through the match as planned.
Orton comes out and teases the cash-in. Hunter kicks Bryan in the gut and attempts to pedigree him but Bryan puts him in the LeBell Lock until Orton makes the save.
Orton calls out another ref so he can cash in, except Bryan gets to his feet and clocks Orton with the title belt. Bryan then escapes through the crowd leading YES chants and blowing Hunter and Randy kisses a la Punk walking out with the title at MITB.

I'd have rather Orton didn't have the briefcase
I agree about no wrestler vs sports entertainer story

Beat Cena like he did, then tap out Orton after he cashes in MITB. Have it be like the face version of Jericho going on about beating Stone Cold and Rock in the same night. Saying he beat the two biggest face's in the company and will hold/fight for the championship as long as it would take to make him the greatest ever. He then goes onto describe a new generation and a new guard that have been fighting for so long, but have been held down. He says he wants to make the best main events possible with the best opponents and take the wrestling business to a whole other level with more but also more of his version of "ruthless aggression" at not Mr Mcmahons version. "The version where you would bleed and put everything on line for 20 people, that you got paid a buck for. The kind where you left it all in the ring, the kind where the fighting spirit is revered....everything that HHH/Vince/Steph were too scared to do." At the next PPV as a form of retaliation The Authority that we currently have is formed, but Bryan still has the championship (after winning with a desperation small package). Cat and mouse game happens over the next few PPV's, with Bryan keep on out-smartening the dirty tactics that HHH/Orton/Steph do to try and get the title off him. He eventually goes on to lose the championship at Survivor Series to the authority (in a Survivor Series match with his Rebel Alliance, where the WWE Championship is on the line (I don't know how you would do it but stick with me ). He gets screwed, The Authority becomes even stronger than they were before and they try push Bryan down the card (to the fans dismay). Bryan only just manages to get into the Rumble and win it (Benoitesc), then goes on to get revenge on the Authority at Mania for screwing him over and regain the championship cleanly.

I would have had Bryan about to win, but Triple H screws him. I would have loved to see Cena tap to the No Lock, but with HHH "distracted". Cena would get the win, but then Triple H goes full heel by helping Orton cash in on Cena. You make Bryan look good for making Cena do something he's never done (tap). Bryan also gets the fan sympathy for getting screwed. Cena has an out because of his injury, and the record book still gives him the win over Bryan. He also gets heats the screwed over by HHH heat on his way out. WWE will never let Cena tap though.

"Bryan beats Cena and has a good length reign as champion. Orton still lurks with the MITB."
By good length, I mean 2 or 3 months. Nothing spectacular. In the meantime, we see Triple H slowly get more and more bothered by Bryan, starting with him handing him the title after the match at Summerslam with annoyance. He doesn't outright undermine him, but he throws challenges at Bryan in an attempt to "compliment him as a fighting champion", which Bryan accepts and overcomes. Finally, fed up with Bryan, Triple H finally screws him over at Survivor Series. What happens from there on, is entirely up to WWE.

I'd say Bryan beats Cena clean like he did, and Orton lurks with MITB. As a fan I would've marked out for him beating Cena then tapping out Orton immediately, but that seems too much and would make Randy look pretty awful, though that would've been good heel turn fodder for him.
Ideally, Bryan as champ, no MITB to even worry about. The problem though was there's such a shortage of top heels right now that a good babyface reign would be tough to pull off. In fact the whole roster is deep in talent but shallow at the top of the card.

Bryan wins at SummerSlam and has a good reign but ultimately loses to some heel and Orton cashes in on that person. That way there would be no Triple H or Stephanie on my screen or no dull and completely boring Randy Orton as an even more dry and boring heel on my screen.
Just my opinion. This stuff is so boring the way it is right now. I've said before I think WWE heels are stupid and Orton is just about the dumbest one they have. Absolutely no entertainment value to him. I don't want to pay money to see him get his ass kicked. I don't want to pay money to see HHH get his either. I want both gone forever at this point.
