What he needs is to go away to introduce elements of the Hunter Hearst Helmsley character. When he next wrestles have him come out one of the old robes (which'd look weird with trunks, so switch to pants while at it), give him the more spoiled pretty boy suits over the soulless corporate ones, start being more pompous and rich-sounding. Tell me you wouldn't mark.
Brownie points if he brings back one of the old themes to go with it. Or does like a soulful, religious-sounding version of King of Kings.

I agree. I say this to anybody who will listen. He and Damien Sandow could be best buddies because of their similar tastes in theme music.

It still surprises me that they haven't started going with "Hunter Hearst Helmsley" in this angle more often than "Triple H."

I'd love if he forced wrestlers to refer to him as "Mr. Helmsley" and Steph as "Ms. Helmsley-McMahon"

Honestly, I'm surprised that they didn't drop his gimmick name and just go with Paul Levesque, since he's all corporate and administrative. His name has been thrown around a few times, I think it would add to the idea that he's not being a wrestler, he's being a corporate guy and is taking himself seriously when he's out there, and it would definitely piss off people who think he should stay with the Hunter name when he's on TV. I can't imagine him going into a board meeting and people calling him "Haitch" and expect to take it seriously.

That's a big problem with the heels involved in the story. Hunter needs more "generic" characters to be in his corner who can be given the Corporate makeover without it killing or watering down their current personas too much. Orton doesn't work. Shield doesn't Work, and the Wyatt Family wouldn't work in that aspect. I think the only guys on the roster who I think can fit in this capacity is either Cody Rhodes, a re-vamped Drew McIntyre, Wade Barrett, or even some low carders like the PTPs, Tyson Kidd, Zack Ryder, or Curt Hawkins. |
