Big Show's spot should belong to Mark Henry right now.

I like Big Show, the loveable lug, but I can't help but feel like this filler-feud (lord I hope that's what this is) would have been better suited to be used for Mark Henry. His story fits so much more than Show. He's bad-ass, reinvented himself, never has had a proper run on top in WWE, and has a history of the company putting him through demeaning angles and gimmicks in an attempt to make him quit. He's the perfect monster foil against the Authority. And unlike Show, he hasn't had a ton of knee-jerk face/heel turns that make him seem kind of hypocritical.


I mean, Show's great, but he's about run the gamut on top runs and angles. It feels kind of redundant. I'd much rather Henry get to go out swinging and annihilate Orton --playing up on how much Mizark's owned Randy these last couple of years.

Actually, I think that IS why some of Big Show's part in all this has been a bit screwy, it feels like this is what they were going to do with Henry. If he hadn't been injured right when he was doing fine with his face turn, I think he would have had the broke angle. But it is what it is, and they decided to fill Big Show in his place.



Despite some clunkyness, I think Big Show's current run has been fun.

I can't see Mizark in this role, especially after he became "Hall of Pain" Mark Henry. I can't picture him wimping out and agreeing to go after people because The Levesques tell him to, and I really can't see him standing there like a fool while Stephanie and her man call him out and embarrass him like they did Show. Pre-Hall of Pain Mark, Yes. Hall of Pain Mark, No way.

Yeah, I feel like for all of Big Show's random monster heel runs he's had more humiliating-in-kayfabe moments vs. Mark who's probably had more non-kayfabe humiliating moments before his Hall of Pain run, but hm.

I would love to see Mark coming back as one of the guys fighting the Authority, if only to sorta keep the continuity that he and Show were actually going after the Shield before Henry got injured. Not that I want Show to win the title, but Henry could also keep Orton busy in time for Bryan to be elevated to a WrestleMania match against Orton.

Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but I think WWE seriously wants/expects Big Show to be their hot "new" lead babyface.

Awww, Show deserves to headline the show for a couple months a year. He's made the effort to get himself in shape and become better on the mic and in his acting, I say let him have his month or two in the sun. The guy was picked off a basketball court by Hulk Hogan to become a wrestler and he's still around almost 20 years later, with the physical toll this business must have taken on a man that size, my hat's off to him. You just know he'll feud with Kane Jacobs after Survivor Series anyways.

Would be great for Orton to declare himself a giant killer and all in a promo, only for big bad bald Mark Henry to come out and dismantle him. Maybe they could even tease beforehand that he may be the Authority's next hired gun so we can get a repeat of this glorious moment:

Agreed.

Bryan should be the top guy in this angle with Miz, Dolph, Cody and/or one or more low card faces as his secondaries.

Big Show should be a monster heel feuding with one of the aforementioned names.

Arguably Henry should still be a heel as well to make up for the lack of quality heels. You can't just rely on stables like the Shield and the Wyatt Family to keep everyone busy in tag matches.
