This isn't because of an offensive gimmick but the actions of the heel alone are offensive. - Accusing entire crowd of drug use
- Bringing up Jeff Hardy being arrested two weeks after he left WWE
- Wishing death upon Vince McMahon
- Mocking Jerry Lawler's nearly dying on an episode of Raw
- Stealing the urn and juggling it backstage, complete with "oh shit" when he drops it
- Emptying the urn over Undertaker
I can't think of a heel who has been so downright scumbag evil as Punk was since WWE went PG.

And he still couldn't get people to stop cheering him.

He had it coming, but he still takes evident pleasure in badly beating up an aging, fat, balding lawyer that isn't really a physical threat to him. Hogan would give ONE punch to Bobby Heenan before letting him run away, and Heenan was a retired wrestler!

I like to think that a lot of his Paul Bearer stuff wasn't originally scripted. The writers would come to Heyman and Punk and they'd tell them what they were gonna do this week to get the fans to boo.
Heyman and Punk would laugh, Punk would jokingly go "Yeah that's great, tell ya what after that how 'bout I open the thing up and pour it all over Taker?" The two would continue to laugh, dismayed at the level creative were willing to sink to in order to get people to hate Punk, but little did they know that Mr Creative Writing was already changing the script.

Don't forget the most dastardly thing of all:
On MULTIPLE occasions, he pointed out the deficiencies of local sports teams.

For years there was a point where heels weren't doing anything evil to actually warrant booing and the one time a heel does... He still get cheers. I'm glad they turned him back because I'd hate to see what else he would've done to be hated. Eating a baby probably wouldn't go over well...

And he still couldn't get people to stop cheering him. He's up there with Kurt Angle when he hated the black people and Jesus and wanted beastialty sex with Booker T's wife and still got cheered really hard.

I can't think of a heel who has been so downright scumbag evil as Punk was since WWE went PG. Bringing up hardy's arrest and wishing death upon Vince are actually traditional WWE face moves. I mean, wishing harm on Vince is like a staple of being a face since SCSA. I'll say this, Punk has definitely been the most memorable heel of this era for me. His evolution from a straight edge superstar to "better than you" to straight-edge cult leader to "best in the world" was pretty damn solid character building. He's stalled out recently, but guys usually do when they reach that "Main Event" level.

Hogan would give ONE punch to Bobby Heenan before letting him run away, and Heenan was a retired wrestler! Except at WrestleMania 2, where Hogan threw Heenan into a steel cage face first and then atomic dropped him out of a cage.

I'm still annoyed Kane didn't go after him more. It was his dad that died. Taker just was his pal.
Anyway...yeah. It's why face Punk is never to be trusted. He's using the people to get what he wants.

Well, judging from this forum "The Authority/McMahon-Helmsley V.2" effectively makes HHH the most offensive heel of the PG Era. The sheer amounts of f-bombs and long-winded rants about him are a sight to behold.
CM Punk can't hold a candle to the King of Kings.
Burying Daniel Bryan > Making fun of somebody's real death
For some reason.
